Thankful Thursday

WoW...So thankful for so much!

I was so thankful to see the sun rise yesterday morning!
Good Bye Rain!!

So thankful first responders and volunteers, they saved so many lives during this awful storm.  So brave and so caring, sure touches my heart.
Thank you first responders and volunteers!

Thankful for all the pets that were not left behind.
Thank you rescuers!

Thankful for the linemen that got out in the storm to restore power.  So many are still without electricity but it's only because the linemen can't get into the area because of high water.  They are standing ready to go as soon as possible.  We were only without power for a few hours during the storm.
Thank you linemen.

Thankful for all the churches that are working so hard to help people.  So many throughout the area.
Thank you Church for caring.

A special thank you to Pastor Alan Neel, Life Community Church, for his daily facebook broadcast, his prayers and words of encouragement were so comforting.
Thank you Pastor Alan

So thankful for my GLOW sisters, several of us talked through out the night Saturday, lifting each other as best we could.
Thank you GLOW

I'm thankful for social media, I know there are things on there that can be disturbing...but we have to edit those out.  I was comforted being able to check on friends and family through out the storm.  It was comforting to hear pastors praying for us as were their words of encouragement through the long rainy days and nights.
Thank you Facebook

So thankful for my children who stayed in constant touch with us. . .  encouraging us to come stay with them.  Mr D and I opted to stay home but we know we had a place to go if necessary.
Thank you kids

Thankful for little brother, who lives far enough north that he wasn't affected by the storm.  His morning phone calls touched my heart, always wanting to be sure we were okay.
Thank you Wayne

And most of all, I am thankful for a loving God that never forsakes His children.  Even if our home would have flooded I know He would have helped us through it all.
We serve a merciful God, His mercy endures forever.
Thank You Lord

  8. I have Holy Spirit chills reading this, my Friend. SOOOOOO grateful that you and Mr. D are okay. To see all the outpouring of love, especially at this time of turmoil in America....oh, what it's done to the hearts of Christians! Love you, Friend.
