I love it when my daughter and her hubby take a trip!!
Why?
Because sweet Tammy always brings me a teacup!
Her and her hubby went to Dallas for the state fair, that was fun! But during their trip they stopped in Waxahachie, Texas and browsed the shops.
Yea!!
Look what she found! The perfect Fall Tea Cup! I love it....and it's going to be my favorite Fall Coffee Cup!! The little doily laying beside it came with the cup, and anyone that knows me knows I love doilies. I have them everywhere.
Yes, I'm old fashioned...and Jimmy Crack Corn, I don't care!!
))smiles)) ))smiles)) ))smiles))
Another view for you to enjoy...
Thank you Tammy!
Finally, and at last, my kind of weather has come to town. Saturday was 'wear a jacket all day' kind of day. Also having to wear a sweater to have my morning coffee on the porch. Such a relief from the summer heat.
Can you believe Thanksgiving and Christmas are so close, I'm so excited. I love this time of year. Things are going to get busy, but it's all so much fun.

A brooding calm in all the air,
A dreamy quiet everywhere...
A golden glow to light the day
That fades in purple mists away—
This soothing calm, this presence bright,
October's sweet and mellow light.

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that pretty Fall teacup. My eye dr. told me last year I had a cataract forming on one eye but I might could wait about 5-6 years before having it removed! My fatherinlove had both eyes done and can see better than he has in years. LOVE that....BLESSON!Loved Today's humor! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteRemembering your cataract surgery in my prayers, Mary. What a lovely fall teacup and sweet doily. We are enjoying the nip in the air, also! Take care and have a blessed evening.
ReplyDeleteMerica Jo is adorable, smiling or not! I will keep you in my prayers for a successful surgery. Please let us know, when you can, how it went. Joe has had both of his done and came through just fine. You will too!
ReplyDeleteOh My! So much good stuff here, where do I begin? With that tea cup and doilie, of course! LoVE, LOVE, LOVE!! What a sweet daughter to think of it! Too bad you are going to put coffee in it! LOL. To each his own. Enjoy it no matter what!! Yes, we have nice cooler weather now too...just loving it!! Merica Jo is adorable!! What a delight! Praying for your cataract surgery to go smoothly. I'm sure it will. They make that seem so easy nowadays. Take care of yourself and don't overdo it after the surgery. God bless you dear friend!!
ReplyDeleteI do love your teacup. I always look for pretty tea cups in the thrift stores around me but very seldom find a set that I like. I can say the surgery you will get is not painful. You will only feel some slight pressure. I didn't even get pain killer prior to and I think that is how they do it in the USA but I did get eye drops to numb the eyes. Just make sure you wear your eye shield at night and put your eye drops in as directed every day until you are done. Hugs. xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty tea cup ( or coffee cup. I'm sure both will taste just fine in it).
ReplyDeleteSomeday maybe sooner than I think I'll also need cataract surgery and I'm encouraged by all the comments people who have had it done have to say.
How sweet of your daughter to bring you back such a darling teacup for fall coffee :) Such a pretty doily too! I will pray the cataract surgery goes easily for you, I admit I don't like having anything done to my eyes, and I completely understand! Believing that it will all go well :) Hugs to you today!
ReplyDeleteLove the teacup. I've told my girls not to get me anymore (no where to keep them) unless it's a very, very, very, very special one!
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year as well, Mary. Your new teacup is so pretty. Love the new word...Blesson! Mu hubby is going to have cataract surgery before too much longer as well. I will be praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI like the fall as well! That teacup is so pretty and perfect for autumn.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for your surgery and you!
Love the cup!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, I've had cataract surgery in both eyes and believe me you'll have no problem and won't feel a thing. I found the preparation more annoying than the actual procedures. This past Wednesday I had laser procedure in my left eye and I'm still a 20-20 vision. Love the Blesson word and your pretty teacup. Have a day of blessings my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is a sweet treasure and treat!!!! I am so glad to have visited. Blessings! I came from Mountain Top Spice
