We've had a very cold winter, much colder that our normal.
No green grass or blue waters.
It's so stark and gloomy looking.
If you look at the upper left you can see the cranes along the channel, waiting to load and unload the many ships that come to the Port of Houston.
Do you see the bench on the left, a great place to sit when the weather is nice, when the grass is green and the water is blue.
The clouds were beautiful today.

Beautiful photos. I do understand what you mean about gray and dull days. It's been that way here too. I look for any sliver of blue in the skies. lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe bench sounds inviting to be able to have these lovely views that you have shared here, Mary. Thank you for sharing a bit of your world with us.
ReplyDeleteEven the gray, cloudy days have their own special kind of beauty, and you have captured it well here for us. It won't be long until spring will be back, and then summer...so just enjoy each day as it comes...that is what I am trying to do. I miss the green grass and leaves on my big sycamore trees in front of the house. It looks so bare, but soon they will come back and all will be well again. Praise God for the promise of Spring!!
ReplyDeleteCOLD? COLD? {{{giggling}}} You have no idea girlfriend, lololol. Very lovely photos Mary...I'll take brown grass over white "grass" any day, smiles. Hope you have a beautiful day, friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteThe fotos are still so pretty even with gray clouds. Spring, where art thou? ☺ Hope you and Mr. D have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of beach days myself Mary. We always go to Gulf Shores for a week in September. It is so relaxing( and warm!).
ReplyDeleteI like sitting by the bay whatever the weather, even if the cold limits my time. It is restorative.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. :)
This does look like a lovely place to sit. It does look chilly there though, especially if there is a breeze coming off the water. I hope you get to sit on your bench soon as it warms up.
ReplyDeleteThe clouds are beautiful, Mary. But I miss the sun.
ReplyDeleteI think that would be a lovely place to sit and stare at the water. Do you live close enough to visit the water?
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, but it does look cold!! Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteEven stark and gloomy Sylvan Bay is beautiful! I would love sitting on that bench watching all the cranes. Have a day of blessings my friend.
ReplyDeleteYou nicely captured the beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteI'd be tempted to bring a thermos of tea and sit on that bench and look at the water. But only once the weather warms up!!
ReplyDeleteHere it is also so stark and gloomy looking outside. But I know spring is coming!
