Tuesday 4

Did you ever do something stupid?  I sure have and I  just did.   I don't know how I did it but I did Tuesday 4 from November.  I thought one of the questions was familiar, but that didn't stop me I just kept on answering questions.  This afternoon I opened my blog so I could visit you today and I noticed a Tuesday 4 post that wasn't the one I did.  So I went to Cottage by the Sea to double check what today's questions really were . . . you guessed it . . . I really did have the wrong Tuesday 4.   First thing I did was rush to delete my blog then I just laughed out loud at myself. 😆😆😆 Mercy Me . . how did I do that.  Anyway, I think I have it right now, so here is the real Tuesday 4.

Out West...

Howdy Partners... welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, hosted by Annie.

Today let's talk about  the West.

1. Got some favorite Cowboy or western movies or TV shows you have liked?

I have so many, westerns are one of my favorites.  In my younger years it was Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Happy Trails to You.  Then I fell in love with Marshall Matt Dillon of Gunsmoke.  I still watch it today.  Later I have enjoyed Tom Selleck and Sam Elliot in Shadow Riders.  I love the last line where Tom Selleck says, "Let's go home."  I also have enjoyed the few westerns that Jack Duvall has made.  There are so many others but I guess that's enough for today.

2.  Ever been to a rodeo or horse show of any kind?  Yes, I've been to rodeo's, I love them. It's been a very long time since I've been to a rodeo but I do love them.  I watch them on TV when I can.

3. Can you ride a horse or would you like to try?  I did in my younger years, the opportunity never presented itself after I married.  A little tidbit to share, my sister-in-law barrel raced in her youth.  Her brother would supply hay for the Houston Fatstock Show.  When Mr D was in his teens he baled that hay a few times.  It was hard work but when you need a few bucks to take your girl out on Saturday Night - it's worth it.  lol

4.  How would a vacation on a dude ranch suit you?   I would absolutely love it !!

For the few of you that left a comment on the wrong Tuesday 4, Thank You!

Until Next Time

  1. Marty is sure a Western Movie fan! Me, not too much. However, if someone wants to pay for me a trip to a ranch I will gladly put on my cowgirl boots. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. I love rodeos. We used to go to them when I was growing up here in Nebraska, but the best rodeos I've been to are out west in Montana. We went to the BIG rodeo in Helena, MT every year for a long time since that's where our sons family lives.
I've also ridden lots of horses in my younger days. I can't ride any longer because of my back, but I would love to go to a dude ranch and sit and knit and watch the horses and riders and enjoy the mountains and scenery.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. Hi Mary, I enjoyed reading your post today. If someone was paying my way to a Dude Ranch, I would go. I never planned on going to Texas, but I was there twice last year! You just never know. Enjoy your week!

  6. I figured anyone from Texas would love rodeos and westerns! LOL. I love horses even though I haven't been around any in a long time and I never did do any real riding, just a couple of trail rides. I always wanted a horse, but never had the opportunity. I loved all the old western TV shows and a lot of movies too. They don't make good ones like they used to. I would enjoy a vacation at a dude ranch too. Let's go!

  7. Hi Mary, I enjoyed reading your answers. I never saw the show Shadown Riders but you reminded me that Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were always a wholesome couple to watch. Your SIL must have had a lot of fun doing barrel racing. That was the event I liked best at the rodeo.
