A Little Under the Weather

I've been fighting a sore throat for two days.  It's not worse but it sure isn't better.  Trying to stay out of  the doctors office if I can.  As long as it doesn't get worse I'm going to continue on my OTC meds and pray for His healing.

About mid morning I remembered all those boxes of tea Maegan gave me for Christmas!  A cup of hot tea sounded so good to me.  I choose the Chamomile tea, I think it's suppose to be good for what ails you.

I can't say I feel better, but the heat of the hot tea felt good to my throat as it was going down.  I did enjoy it to the last drop.

I have a new hobby to occupy my time.  It's something anyone with COPD can do and enjoy!

It's called Diamond Art.

It's little beads that stick onto a pattern to make a picture.  It's very time consuming, but it keeps my mind busy, which is what I need.

Here's a tutorial that will tell you all about it.

Diamond Art Turorial

This is a magnet for the fridge, I think it was a set of 10, all different colors and desighns.

Something to think about from Billy Graham.

The church holds the key to revival.  It is within our grasp.  Will we rise to the challenge?  Will we dare pay the price?  The supply of heaven is adequate for the demands of our spiritually starved world.  Will we offer that supply to the hungry masses?

Monday Morning Coffee Chat

Hello October !!  I'm so glad you're here!

Bagels slathered with Pumpkin Spice cream cheese and a hot mug of coffee.
Oh so good.

Do you see my pumpkin?  It's a toilet paper pumpkin!!

Are you saying, "WHAT?"

Here's what I'm talking about.

You need one 18" square of material. The pattern called for flannel, but I didn't have any flannel so I used some cotton blend.  A stick from the yard and a roll of tp.

Unroll some of the paper, I didn't measure, just unroll until it feels right.
Then very loosely roll it back onto the roll.

Place the roll in the center of your material.
Starting with a corner, pull up and tuck in the center of the roll.  Work your way around until all the material is tucked in.  Don't pull too tight, you want some looseness to keep it soft.

Put the stick into the middle....

…. and add some leaves!
I just snipped off a few from an old garland.

This was so quick and easy, once you gather the materials it takes only a few minutes to get it done.
I found this on Pinterest, I've seen the message before but never with scriptures to go with it.

Felt Crafts

I've been spending too much time on Pinterest.

I have fallen in love with felt crafts.  I think I might try making some and see how they turn out.  My crafting skills are hit and miss...some turn out really good and some just go in the trash!

I really like the felt hearts.  I wonder if I could make them this pretty?  hmmm....we'll see.

I thought these little campers were cute.

These felt needle cases would make sweet gifts for those who sew.

Felt tissue holder would be nice for your purse.

Felt stars for tree ornaments or maybe a garland.

Pretty felt flowers, maybe on your tote bag or purse....
or maybe a pretty brooch for you winter sweaters.

For those who do a lot of reading, felt bookmarks!!

There are many, many more felt crafts on Pinterest.  I just picked a few of my favorites to share with you today.

Craft Day

Stopped by to see Stephanie at the The Enchanting Rose and she was guest posting over at  Thoughts and Images Along the Way, so off I went to see what these girls were up to.  I wasn't disappointed.  Stephanie had made the cutest card holders from binder clips!

I just had to give it a try.

Now isn't that cute?
Thank you Stephanie for a great idea.
