Not Always Easy

 My special word for 2014 is love, I was so pleased when Pastor Bob posted this on his facebook page.  I immediately knew I wanted to share his words on Visits With Mary.  And that's just what I've done, with Pastor Bob's permission of course!

 Real love is not always easy or convenient. The Bible reminds us that love is patient and kind. It is not self-seeking or easily angered. It "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things"

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
I Corinthians 13:4-7

 Real love originated with
our Heavenly Father, who gave us the gift of His Son, Jesus! As we seek to show His love to others, we can follow the example of Christ, who laid down His life for us.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.  And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.  If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?  Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
I John 3:16-18

 

 REAL LOVE IS HELPING OTHERS FOR JESUS' SAKE EVEN IF THEY CAN NEVER RETURN THE FAVOR!
