SonDay Hymn and Scripture
Have Thine Own Way
Have thine own way, Lord!
Have thine own way!
Thou art the potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after thy will,
while I am waiting, yielded and still.
Have thine own way, Lord!
Have thine own way!
Search me and try me, Savior today!
Wash me just now, Lord, wash me just now,
as in thy presence humbly I bow.
Have thine own way, Lord!
Search me and try me, Savior today!
Wash me just now, Lord, wash me just now,
as in thy presence humbly I bow.
Have thine own way, Lord!
Have thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me I pray!
Power, all power, surely is thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!
Have thine own way, Lord!
Wounded and weary, help me I pray!
Power, all power, surely is thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!
Have thine own way, Lord!
Have thine own way!
Hold o'er my being absolute sway.
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
Hold o'er my being absolute sway.
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
But now, O Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.

ReplyDeleteBlessed SONday,to you, Mary. I've always loved that hymn!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a precious hymn and one we sing often at our church. Thank you for sharing, dearest Mary. May you have a blessed day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favorite old hymns. I love the picture it paints of how God is molding us and making us into one of His own!!! Happy SONday, my Friend.
ReplyDeleteThat is my absolute most favorite hymn of conviction and surrender. I cannot begin to tell you how many times God has used that same hymn to bring me to my knees and to yield my heart to His will, not mine. Thank you for this reminder of one of the many ways God has worked in my heart throughout the years. I am sure it will speak to many others today as well. Blessings to you dear one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Amen!! Wishing you a blessed day and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite hymns. I get off and back on the potter's wheel periodically! Have a blessed evening.
