Remember WHO is in control and fear not. Where we have been and where we are is not where we are headed! These are the days that we must raise our eyes to the horizon and look for His coming Glory!
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
I look forward to His coming and listen daily for the sound of His trumpet.
The sound of the shofar.
My goodness February got here quick!
It's a busy month for my family, 7 birthdays, one anniversary and the month Momma went home to be with the Lord. Today I will change the Christmas wreath for a Valentine wreath on the front door, and before we know it, it will be time for the spring wreath to be hung. But for today, love is in the air and I expect it will be with us a while.
I didn't go to my GLOW meeting today. I've had some serious insomnia lately and it's leaving me feeling sleepy (of course) and tired. Just going to stay in and hopefully I'll be able to take a nap this afternoon. I've had times of insomnia in the past and I know that eventually it will pass. I'm drinking less coffee, no afternoon coffee nor early evening coffee. We drink the half caffeinated..but even so I think it best I not have any caffeine at all, well, maybe a cup or two in the mornings.
So much ugliness in our country, makes me sad. It's hard to watch the news, even the local news. The super bowl is in Houston this weekend, if they're not talking politics, they're talking football. I'm really tired of it all.
I know God hears our prayers and I know He's at work, restoration is coming with a revival right behind.
When you pray for our country would you also pray for the peace of Jerusalem. That one small country is always under attack, whether terrorist bombs or threats from other powers. How much longer will God let this go on....I don't know....but I do know, He will put a stop to it some day. While we're waiting for that day to come we are instructed to pray for their peace.
(Ps. 122:6)
So here I am, waiting for sleep, waiting for restoration, waiting for a revival, and waiting for the Lord's return!

Oh Mary, I share your frustration. I don't want to watch all the hate either. Israel is always in my prayers. President Trump has his hands full and I pray he has the fortitude to withstand all the hate that surrounds him. We need new leadership in this country and I hope God shines a light on this man. Love your inspirations for today and pray you get some needed sleep soon. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteThanks for you prayers LJ..sending ((hugs)) right back to ya!!
DeleteI am sorry you are still not resting, Mary. I hope you can take a nap this afternoon. Our home is so quiet; we just cannot take the biased news coverage any longer. Mostly, I follow along with Franklin Graham to receive the truth of our Country and its Leaders. God bless your day. xoxo
ReplyDeleteme again...Mary. After reading your post, I clicked on my sister's blog and thought I would come back and share the link with you: http://lilyvalley-karen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeletePrayers for you, sweet friend, that you'll get rest today.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, you are the best !!!
DeleteWhat a beautiful post, Mary...as well as your beautiful new header. I do hope that you are able to get some sleep soon. I have some of those nights, too, and they are never fun...especially the next day. Joining you in praying for our country and for Israel, as I listen for the sound of the trumpet.
ReplyDeleteSome day we'll hear that wonderful sound...what a day that will be!!
DeleteMary, I am right there with you regarding insomnia and being weary. I am also with you in looking forward to hearing the trumpet blow and be able to go home. Hope you can get a nap this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThanks...did you see Pam's comment? She takes a Benadryl before bedtime, I think I'll give that a try. Come quickly Lord Jesus!
DeleteWhew!! You said a mouthful of goodness today! So many of the same thoughts running through my head! I believe God is putting us all on the same wavelength for a reason...get ready...Jesus is coming SOON!!! Praying you get some much needed rest tonight. Get some sleepytime tea from Celestial Seasonings and drink a cup in the evening. It makes me very sleepy and relaxed. I also take a benadryl at bedtime, and that helps too. And say my prayers. Which I am sure you already do. Praying for you today, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried Benadryl....yet!! Thanks for the tip and thanks for your prayers. God bless you my friend.
DeleteThese are exciting times we live in! I really believe that with all my heart. I don't see these things that are going on as negative, but part of the plan of the Lord, and I praise Him, because I know big things are going on, most of which we can't see, but we can feel the excitement in our hearts. Jesus said when ye see these things come to pass... LOOK UP. Luke 21:28 And indeed, that is where I am. I choose to look up, to Him, and not around where fear abounds. In Him there is peace. There will never be peace in the world as we know it, but in Him, there is true peace. And we don't have a TV. Life is quite peaceful because of that. I have never regretted not having one.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you today dear friend! Hope you get some well needed sleep today! :)
How wonderful that you don't have a tv....there's not much worth watching anymore. I do enjoy the Christian channels that I have and I still like a good documentary. I do agree with you on these being exciting times. We are rushing into all the end-time prophecies at a very fast pace. Come quickly Lord Jesus. It still bothers my heart to see/hear all the ugliness around us eventho I know they are the beginnings of birth pains. Blessings to you, hope your day is happy and blessed. BTW...I went to my Bible right away and reread Luke 21:28, thank you for this wonderful reminder!! I just love God's Word.

Oh, I know the miseries of insomnia and the day after. I'm so sorry. Great post with optimistic hope about our future. What a wonderful day it will be when Jesus returns to take us home. You're so right about all the ugliness. I find myself just wanting to weep over it, but when I think about Israel, you're right. They are under constant attack.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it, we're living in dire times. But we hope in our Savior and I'm so thankful for that..!
DeleteI am in agreement with your prayers for our nation and also for Israel. I've heard it said that Israel is the Lord's timeclock. We are watching prophesy unfold. I am so thankful for Jesus, our King of Kings.
ReplyDeleteYes God is always in control. Your nieces photo is just breathtaking Mary!
ReplyDeleteOnward Christian Soldiers!! Yes!!
ReplyDeleteThe video of the shofar is WONDERFUL! I, like you, await our Lord's return! Thank you for sharing this today.
ReplyDeleteFebruary certainly is a busy month for you!! In my family it is October... various birthdays, anniversaries, and yes, even deaths.
ReplyDeleteI hope your bout of insomnia passes quickly; lacking sleep is not a great way to start a day.
Oh Mary, I do pray that "this to will pass" and soon. God is good, keep trusting.
ReplyDeleteGo Falcons!!, just had to say that, as you know I do live an hour away from Atlanta! Although I am a big Braves fan, don't care for football too much.
Get some rest and have a good day!
Hugs my dear friend!
