Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Our Easter was quiet, spent the morning watching several online services which we enjoyed.
My son asked me a few days ago if I thought Judas was in Heaven. After considerable thought I told him I didn't know. Had he repented before he died, I know he was very regretful, but did he repent?
I was on facebook Saturday and this came up in my feed.
Did God send it? Well, maybe!

It's a very interesting article, just click on the link if you would like to read it.
Staying home isn't bothering me near as much as not seeing my family. I'm lonesome for them.
My oldest did come by Saturday afternoon and I got to talk with her while observing the 6ft rule.
CLOSED 😞
I see them a lot in other yards and they're so pretty. Wish I could remember what it's called.

She stayed in her car while I stood outside.
It was so nice to see her.CLOSED 😞
The county closed Sylvan Beach for the Easter weekend so we couldn't enjoy the park.
Mr D and I usually stay in our car and people watch or watch the boats coming and going. We always enjoy Sylvan Beach. (Have I said that before?😃)
I'm anxious for these buds to open, the flower is huge and lavender in color.

The Easter flag comes down today and the spring flag will go up!
Sharing some FYI for this day, April 13th.
1204 - Constantinople fell to the Crusaders of the Fourth Crusade.
1742 - Handel's Messiah premiered in Dublin, Ireland.
1870 - The New York City Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded.
1902 - James C. Penney opened his first store in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
1943 - The Jefferson Memorial was dedicated in Washington, DC.
1970 - An Oxygen tank exploded on Apollo13, but everyone survived. It was also the major plot for the 1995 film, Apollo 13.
1974 - Western Union, with NASA and Hughes Aircraft, launched the US' first commercial geosynchronous communications satellite, Westar.
1976 - The United States Treasury Department reintroduced the two-dollar bill as a Federal Reserve Note.
Because I worked at a bank I was able to get 4 of these two-dollar bills uncirculated and brand new.
One for each of my kiddos.
Be happy,
Be blessed,
Until Next Time

Sounds like you had a really nice weekend. Apollo 13 is one of my all time favorite movies.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they are Agapanthus flowers? The leaves look right, but mine are blue rather than purple.
ReplyDeleteThey might come in different colors, I've only seen them in the lavender. I'll post pictures after they bloom.
DeleteI am sorry that you can't even go to your favorite beach/park to sit and enjoy the beauty of the sea and the gulls and ships, etc. I hope they will reopen it soon. I will have to watch what you sent about Judas. I am thinking he was "the son of perdition", and therefore, he most likely did not repent...but only God knows for sure, right? We'll find out one day for sure. Interesting facts about April 13. I try to save $2.00 bills when I find them. Not sure I have the ones you are speaking of, but I always sent them to nieces and nephews and grandchild for special holidays and told them to save them. Our kids have some too from many years ago. Maybe they are worth more than $2.00 now, I don't know. Yes, it will be time to put the Easter things away, but I've enjoyed them since we couldn't really do much "outside" of the home for Easter. Thankfully, Christ is still risen...nothing can change that! Praise God.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what, God is always with His children. The article says the same, it's a good read.
DeleteI've missed you so much, sweet Mary! I'm hoping that I'm back to blogging - we'll see how long I can last this time around. (smile) I can't wait to see that lavender bloom! Happy Monday to you and Mr. D!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was a very different Easter. Here too parks are being closed and few places remain for people to go. I feel sorry for those in high rise apartments and such where you can';t really go anywhere.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and keep well.
Yes everywhere is closed here too...but MrD and I enjoyed our Easter. After watching our church livestream service.. we watched a couple of movies.. including King of Kings.. during which we had that same conversation about Judas.
ReplyDeleteWe Facetimed family as they all live back in the Uk... so for us...it was no different.. although I pray this will all be over by July so we can still fly to Englan for our daughters wedding xx
Stay safe..stay well x
Oh, I hope you go to your daughter's wedding!!
DeleteOur Easter was quieter than usual. I posted about it today, too. All of our parks are closed here so people are walking around neighborhoods. Do stay safe and well!!
