Wednesday Hodgepodge

 Hello Wednesday, let's play Hodgepodge!!

What's one part of your everyday routine you'd be better off without?

Definitely and without a doubt, I eat too many snacks! A snack here, a snack there, gimme a snack everywhere😊

2. October 5th is/was National Do Something Nice Day. So what did you/will you do?

We went to see our new baby, she is so precious!  That was nice.

Looks like she's having sweet dreams!

3. What question do you hate to answer?

Nothing comes to mind, I'm usually a very straight forward person, if you ask me a question I can sometimes bore you with the answer.

4. Do we have control over technology or does it have control over us. In that same vein, have you watched The Social Dilemma (available on Netflix) and if so what did you think?

First of all I've not watched that movie.  I really don't know how I want to answer this question.  Nothing frustrates me more than technology that has gone astray.  Hopefully you know what I'm trying to say.  When I get to the point where I'm ready scream I shut it down and put it away.  No reason to let something get you to that point.  So does it control me or am I controlling it....depends...is the glass half full or half empty?   I do think overall, society does let technology control them because so much in our world today depends on it.

5. What are three small things that make your day better?

Visits with my children and grand children.
A pretty day sitting on the porch.
High oxygen levels.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

  1. I love the art on your blog's homepage and I love that big orange coffee (or tea) mug!

  2. That expression on little Hazel's face is so precious! Throughout this 'season' I've been saying snacks are therapeutic. At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. LOL.

  3. Your sweet little Hazel Kay is so precious. I would just love to hold a new baby again! Especially if it was one of my own grandchildren/great grand. It will be a while I am sure. Not expecting anymore grandchildren, and I only have one as it is. He just turned 21 and no prospects for a wife that I know of, so it will be a while. I hope he doesn't wait TOO long. I'd love to enjoy it before I get too old. Snacks? I just ate an apple. Does that count? I won't mention the pumpkin pie I had a piece of earlier today. Mrs. Smith's, and I was disappointed...gave me bad heartburn. Won't do that again. LOL. Have a good night my friend.

  4. Ah, I get what you're saying about technology. I tend to lean toward the it's-controlling-us way of thinking. I hate that when my son's family comes home for the holidays they do nothing but sit and play around on their phones or tablets. I see it among other adults, too.

  5. I find I eat too many snacks too. Thanksgiving is this coming weekend and after that I better cut back and lose a few pounds before Christmas baking begins. *smiling*

  10. Hi Mary, the new baby is precious, congratulations! My husband and I are planning on watching the Social Media. I think like many things, there is a good side and bad side. Snacking is the hard one. I love chips and salsa!
