Staying Put/Moving On
Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, hosted by Annie from Cottage By The Sea.
Sometimes we live in the same place where we were born and remain there all of our lives.
Sometimes we move away and never come back because of jobs, marriage, circumstances of all kinds.
Sometimes we choose where we will live and we have definite reasons for staying there even though we might be far from family.
1. Are you far from family and if so why? Would you like to have them closer and have you discussed that with them?
My immediate family lives very close by and I consider that a blessing. My brother lives a couple of hours north of me and even though I don't see him often we talk on the phone and stay in touch.
2. How did you come to live in the state you are in? How about the city/town.
I'm a native Texan and live about 30 miles from where I was born. I moved to this little town with my parents many years ago where I met Mr D...and the rest is history. I never left.♥
3. What good things keep you living where you are? This is home, I take it with the good and the bad.
What's good about your state and town? It's TEXAS, land that I love. Enough said♥
4. What things might convince you to move to another state or just another town? When we retired, we thought about moving further away from Houston, but we are so rooted here that never came to be. Friends and family are here, our history is here, I'm glad we decided to stay home. This is where our heart is....

DeleteGood for you! It's wonderful to know that you are content in everything in life. We now live just about 5 miles from where we both grew up. We both miss Washington and our friends and church family there, but I can't see us moving back there even though Mom is gone now. We still have my brother and sister and cousins, etc. here close by.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Blessings and hugs back to you Betsy♥
DeleteJust look at all your smiles!
ReplyDeleteI really regret living far from son and family for so many years, but thankfully came to my senses before it was too late. Having family near -- to love and support us -- means everything.
It sure does!
DeleteA fun and interesting Tuesday 4!! How great that you have been there your entire life!! We don't see that often anymore. Sending a hug and wishes for blessings in the week ahead!!

DeleteSo nice that you are content and happy to live where you do.
ReplyDeleteMy husband was in the Navy for 20 years so we've lived in a lot of different places. I've enjoyed every place but glad to have settled here in the woods in western Maryland.
