Ain’t God Good
Me and Mr. D had ourselves a fine little outing today. We started with a late breakfast at the Waffle House — nothing fancy, just good ol’ comfort food, like bisquits and sausage gravy, the kind of food that sticks to your ribs and warms your heart. From there, we took a leisurely ride around town, no rush, just enjoying the day and each other’s company.
Later on, I had a sweet phone visit with Tammy. We don’t always get the chance to talk long, so hearing her voice and catching up made my heart smile.
Got news that the grands, Savannah and Travis, are vacationing out in California! I just love that they’re able to travel and make memories — what a blessing.
The skies stayed rainy and cloudy most of the day, but I didn’t mind one bit. It made the weather just right for sitting out on the porch. I settled into my swing, surrounded by my flowers, and had one of those good, soul-soothing conversations with God.
Days like this remind me all over again — Ain’t God good?

Yes, God is good, and so are your kids/grandkids/greatgrandkids. Love all the pictures they sent you! That is so sweet of them to think of you! Love that you and Mr. D. had a nice morning with breakfast out and a nice ride. We actually did something similar this morning! It is still very hot and humid and no rain today, but we are thankful for what we have...and central AC! Have a blessed and beautiful rest of your week. I loved the deer and the bumblebee and the great grandkids and the big tree and kids...all of the above stuff was great!
