We’re so blessed to have our family close by, where visits are just a short drive away. A few days ago, Scott and Tracey stopped in—just in time for lunch, which they graciously brought with them. Sure makes things easy on this 'older' lady! 😃
There’s nothing quite like
gathering around the table for a good meal and even better conversation with
family, and friends too.
Then on Sunday evening,
our grandson Jason and his new bride Hannah came by for a little visit. It was
the first time I’d seen them since the wedding, and oh, they looked so happy
together. I pray God blesses them with a joyful, love-filled life.
They brought me some
wedding photos—already framed so sweetly—and gifted me the most charming little
spoon rest with a matching spoon. Such a thoughtful gesture. It truly warmed my
heart.
Maegan, Louis, and Merica spent the weekend out at the deer lease, getting everything ready for deer season. And guess what—Maegan let Merica drive! Oh my goodness. I don’t think her feet could quite reach the gas pedal, but she had full command of the steering wheel like a tiny trail boss. Maegan said she did great!
Just to be clear, they were way out in the middle of the deer lease—not on any public roads. So no worries—no mailboxes were harmed, and the squirrels are still talking about it.“Visits With Family &
Friends Certainly Does Warm the Heart♥”
Blessings to All
Until Next Time
So nice to see Jason and Hannah so happy. I agree that having family living near enough for frequent visits is such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteLovely to have visits with family, Mary. Beautiful photos, everyone looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy my family visiting too. Lovely wedding photos.
ReplyDeleteOh, what sweet blessings! Having family nearby is such a blessing indeed! Especially when they want to bless YOU! Food, pictures, and that delightful little teaspoon and that's a tea bag holder! When you take out your wet tea bag from your cup, that's where you put it! And the spoon too! I love that one...it's so pretty! That picture of Merica driving s priceless! What fun! This was a delightful post, full of joy and happiness! You are blessed!!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a blessing having family close by for those sweet visits!! Merica sure looks like she is "in charge" and I think kids who get to steer early in life do it better when they get that license and can drive "for real". Your wedding photos and that precious spoon and spoon rest are treasures indeed! xo
ReplyDeleteSuch blessings, your family! How thoughtful, those framed photos and the spoon rest! Your comment about the squirrels made me smile out loud!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it is when family comes to visit. And they brought you such sweet treats too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
"The squirrels are still talking about it" - made me laugh! Beautiful wedding photos, what a sweet gift.
ReplyDeleteThe little spoon rest and spoon are so sweet! And how fun, to drive around the deer lease :) My dad always let me drive down the country road leading to the house. Such great memories for kids.
ReplyDeleteAww, they both are wonderful! Loved the photos...and the present!
ReplyDeleteMerica is adorable! I was driving my Dad's Simca at age 10...and it was a stick. Of course we lived on a large farm but it was a great time for learning. I never studied for my drivers test...just woke up one morning age 15, asken Mom to take me to the DMV and passed. Hardship license.
hugs
Donna
Such a beautiful bride and groom and what a pretty spoon rest! You are indeed blessed.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think Merica's feet should be able to reach the pedals before she takes her driver's test! LOL
Nice to see those happy smiles. :)
