Thursday's Thought

1.26

As I tucked the last of the Christmas decorations into its box and closed the lid, the house felt a little quieter. I told Mr D the house looks lonely. The twinkle lights are gone, the nativity is wrapped with care, and the familiar glow of Christmas has slipped back into storage—waiting patiently for its season to return. But there’s one thing I never pack away.

The Christmas Spirit stays out on the table of my heart all year long—the love that came down at Christmas, the peace the angels proclaimed, the hope that still lights even the most ordinary days. These gifts aren’t meant for a single season; they’re meant to be lived, breathed, and shared.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.”

Colossians 3:15

The Christmas spirit encompasses joy, peace, and goodwill. It reflects the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth and emphasizes love, generosity, and community. This spirit encourages believers to embody the values of compassion and kindness throughout the holiday season and beyond, reminding them of the significance of Christ's message of hope and redemption. The true Christmas spirit is about living out the teachings of Christ in our daily life

My prayer is that you didn’t pack away your Christmas spirit. Let it shine in your words, your kindness, your quiet moments of grace. The world needs the Light, and He is with us always.

Lord, help us carry the light of Christmas into every ordinary day. Fill our hearts with Your peace, our words with Your kindness, and our steps with Your love. May the spirit of Christ shine through us in every season. Amen.

Until Next Time
