Todays Word: An Ordinary Moment
I think this photo depicts an ordinary moment in the life of a turtle.
There was a little turtle
Basking in the sun.
Enjoying the moment and
Having so much fun!!
Sometimes the simplest scenes hold the most peace. My son snapped this photo while walking around town — a turtle sunbathing on a fallen log, soaking up the warmth of the day. There’s something wonderfully ordinary about it, yet it feels like a quiet reminder to slow down and enjoy the sunshine when it finds us.

A serving of cottage cheese with a big scoop of crushed pineapple on top, oh so good on a hot day.
The grands are gearing up for school which starts here in a couple of weeks. So hard for me to believe I have two great grands in high school this year.
Sweet girls, remember to walk with the Lord.
I am bound for the promised la-nd
I am bound for the promised land
Oh who will come and go with me
I am bound for the promised land
I am bound for the promised land
Oh who will come and go with me
I am bound for the promised land
Until Next Time

Dear Mary, what a lovely and peaceful picture. I love ❤️ turtles 🐢
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
We see turtles sun-bathing on logs in the lake and I often feel sorry for them. Apparently they spend two thirds of their lives buried in the mud at the bottom of the lake.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the turtle and the little poem you wrote underneath it.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet picture and I can almost feel him stretching his neck and warming in the sunshine! Beautiful. I saw school buses out today, running their rounds, getting ready for school to start here in a couple of weeks, too. I loved school, so was always excited about a new school year. Gosh.. those were the days, weren't they!! Blessings wished!! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the turtle photo. I would love to be sitting there with him sunning myself. I spent the afternoon buying school supplies with my granddaughter. It doesn't seem possible that school is beginning again already.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Love the ordinary moment of the turtle.!! I often eat cottage cheese with pineapple. I eat it for breakfast sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSweet little turtle ... living and loving in the moment. Methinks we could take a lesson from them.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the turtle photo. What a great moment! I keep wondering where all of our turtles went when Still Waters Pond dried up. I hope they come back whenever the pond ever gets water again. Also...where are the fish? and the frogs? Anyway, I enjoyed your photo and the song at the end! I will come and go with you!! We are bound for the promised land! And yes, pray for those teens in high school! May God watch over them every single day!!! Amen.
