Goodbye July

Good bye July and good bye Photo-a-day!

Goodbye July — you fiery little rascal. You showed up with all your sass, your sunburns, and your “let’s see how hot we can get today” attitude. And now you’re packing your bags, finally wandering off like a guest who stayed just a smidge too long.

I won’t pretend I’m sad to see you go.

And just like every year, this is the moment when I start dreaming of that first cool front inching in bringing cooler days. I know it’s still a ways off, but mercy, I’m already counting the days.

Thirty one days and we’ll be saying goodbye to August.

counting . . .counting . . . counting

I know I’m getting a little ahead of myself.😍

Photo-a-day - July 30th - Shapes

Sharing an old photo from an old post.

Photo-a-day was fun, and now it comes to an end. For this last day we're to come up with our own theme.
 Photo-a-day - July 31st - Family.

My grandsons and their special ladies enjoying the Astros play ball.
I also want to say Happy Birthday to our grandson Travis!

Until Next Time

Friday Fragmentary

 It's been a good week.

Monday, June 29th

We had a great visit with Peggy and Hank, also Matt and his new friend Maddie.

Tuesday, June 30th

My routine checkup with my pulmonologist, all went well and I'll see him again in September.

On the way home we stopped at Denney's and enjoyed breakfast for our supper. It was yummy.

Wednesday, July 1st

Mr D had his routine checkup with the urologist; all went well for him and that made me happy.

Thursday July 2nd

Finished this diamond art picture and started another one.

Friday July 3rd

I spent some time on the porch!

I was sitting on the porch today

Just letting the quiet drift my way.

I saw a cloud up in the sky

It smiled at me as it went by

It was so white and fluffy too

Heavenly Father, was that You?

Today's Photo-a-day challenge is food.

You can't go wrong with a cup of hot tea and a couple of cookies!

Nothing special planned for this weekend.  I guess we'll be watching all the 4th activities on TV.

I'm proud to be an American!!

Happy 250th Birthday to the USA!

Until Next Time

Friday Fragmentary

Friday - June 26, 2026

When you're not feeling up to par and find yourself laying around all day, just turn your radio dial to KHCB 105.7, my favorite Christian station.

Preachin', Talkin', Singin'

They have it all.

Don't live in the Houston area, you can find them online at http://www.khcb.org

 Wednesday - June 24, 2026

I find it so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I now have two children who are in their 60"s. How does that happen so fast?

Happy Birthday Tammy!

Exodus 17:15 tells us, “Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner.” He is declaring God as the source of victory and protection, a spiritual standard to follow in battle and life.

Until Next Time
