Q&A plus Tuesday 4

What I'm wearing ....  Blue jeans, black and white pullover and black canvas shoes.  Actually they are Grasshoppers, if you're familiar with that brand.

What I'm reading ....  I'm still reading 'They Call Her Dirty Sally.'  I've made friends with the main characters and reading on to see what they get into next.

What's happening in my kitchen ....  Not much!

What's outside my window ....  Cold winter day with rain.  It looks so drab out there.

What I'm thankful for .... my warm cozy home, the book I'm reading, the coffee I'm drinking and listening to Mr D play his guitar from his man cave.

What I'm smelling .... Dogs....my dogbabies need a bath, but I hate to bathe them when it's cold.  Even with the heat on they shimmy and shake.  Typical chihuahuas.

What I'm hearing ....  Mr D playing his music, I enjoy it so much.

What I'm crafting .... I think I posted all about it yesterday, just click HERE.

What's on my mind .... I need to quit putting it off, I have to go to Baytown to have my drivers license renewed.  I can't do it online again, they want me to come in.  BooHiss

Words to live by .... I like my words for the year, Trust & Obey.  I think if we live by those 2 little words our life will be so much better.

Now let's play Tuesday 4

What.. Where...How?

Hey, it's time for Tuesday 4 and I am so happy to see you back again.   Tuesday 4 is hosted by Annie!  Thank you Annie.

Let's ask ourselves some questions.

1. What was the worst date you ever went on?

I really don't remember a bad date.

2. How was the nicest date you ever had?

My nicest date was with Mr D.  We always had a good time.  I'll never forget driving down to Galveston one night and taking a helicopter ride over the island.  It was marvelous, all the lights and the vastness of the bay.  It was a nice date.

3. Where did you grow up and how did you like it? Are you far away from there now?

My Dad was a construction worker and the company he worked for sent him anywhere and everywhere, and Mom and us kids went right along with him.  He was sent to La Porte in 1960 and I never left.  I met Mr D, we married and La Porte has been my home ever since.

4.  What did kids do for fun and dates when you were young?

Dean and I spent hours sitting at Trainers, I think every kid in high school would be there on Friday and Saturday nights.  We also had a teen club, lots of school dances and the movies.

Join in the fun HERE.

Right Here Right Now and Black & White Wednesday on Thursday!

Sharing this meme from Debi at Barefoot Mom. Stop by and tell her hello!

Right Here, Right Now

What I'm wearing...
Here it is noon and I'm still in my pj's. You can do that when you're retired.

What I'm reading...

Just finished a great book by Debbie Macomber, now I'm waiting for Guernsey Potato Peel Society.

What's happening in my kitchen...

Not much happens in my kitchen anymore....except coffee...coffee is always ready!

What's outside my window...

Heat and humidity...supposed to reach 100* today. That's sweatin' weather.

What I'm thankful for...
Why does this question always stump me? There is so much it's hard to choose just one or two. Let's just say I am so thankful for all God has provided,
you do know He provides everything.

What I'm smelling...
The dogbabies, whew, they need a bath. Better get that done ASAP!

What I'm hearing...
The sound of the washing machine. It'll buzz in a minute letting me know it's the dryers turn!

What I'm crafting...

I try each day to do a new page in my praise journal.

What's on my mind...

I need to make an appointment to get my hair cut. Was going to do that yesterday and let the day go by without getting it done. Have I ever mentioned that I am the biggest and worst procrastinator. Yep, I am. {sigh}

Words live by...

I can't even guess how many times I have prayed these words.....so many!

I missed linking up with Teri yesterday for Black & White Wednesday, so I'm linking up today!

My first grade picture. The scarf around my neck was given to me by my older brother. He had bought it for his girlfriend, they broke up and I got the scarf.
I was a happy little girl.

I debated on showing this one..just look at all those character lines! 😊
This drawing was done by one of the 'thingy's' on facebook.

Q&A Wednesday

Time for some Q & A !!

Have you ever talked "baby-talk" to your pet?
Every day!  Bitsy Baby loves it so much, when I stop she will take her paw and try to put it on my mouth.  Buddy Boy just lays his head on my shoulder. They are precious little dogbabies.

Have you ever kept special treats for your pet?
I keep milk bone soft and chewy...they love them so much I have to feed it to them in bite size pieces.  Buddy is such a little glutton he chokes if I give him the whole bone.

Have you ever kept a special blanket or bed for your pet to sleep on?
Each of my dogbabies have their own crate, with their own pillow and blanket!

Have you ever let your pet sleep in or on your bed with you?
No, I love them but they have their bed and we have our bed.

Have you ever hitchhiked?
NO

Have you ever been to a funeral?
Yes, more than I would like.

Have you ever been to a wedding?
Yes, I love weddings!

Have you ever been trapped in an elevator?
No, now that would freak me out!!

Have you ever made somebody cry?
Yes, when my children were very small and I said 'no'....most of the time they cried!

Have you ever had to dial 911/111/119... (emergency services)?
Yes, something you never want to do.  My one and only time was when Mr D had a heart attack, it was a very scary day.  Praise God, it's been over 3 years and he's doing great.

Have you ever driven a truck?
If a pick-up counts, then my answer is yes!

Have you ever eaten in a restaurant and realized you have no money with you?
Thankfully, no.  That would really freak me out.

Have you ever eaten frog legs?
Yes, and they are yummy!

Have you ever eaten Vietnamese food?
Yes, not my favorite.

Have you ever fallen in love at first sight?
I sure have, I fell in love with Mr D the first time I saw him.  There's a story here, I'll save it for another time!

Have you ever fallen or stumbled in front of others?
Yes, I've done this too.  I left a bottom drawer open on my desk, when I got  up I tripped over it and spread eagle right there in the bank lobby.  Wasn't one of my better days!

Have you ever forgotten your mother's birthday?
No, hard to forget that your mother was born on Halloween!

Have you ever had a Deja Vu experience?

I think I'm a little of both.

Are you related or distantly related to anyone famous?

We have two:
You gotta do what ya gotta do.
&

For us that means, face it and take care of it.

My family, My walk with God and what's for supper? !!

Beware of Procrastinator!

Que Sera, Sera
(What will be, will be.)

What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee?

It would have to be Patsy Clairmont.

No way!

What two radio stations do you listen to in the car the most?

Time for Q&A

I think everyone played games of some kind growing up,
and some of us still play games today.

I've always been a game player!

What was your favorite game to play as a child?
I loved to play 'Go Fish.'
Momma would play it with me when I was very little.

Do you play video games now?
I play a lot of games on the computer...does that count?

What’s your favorite gambling game?
I've never played gambling games, well, except for poker.  My older brothers would play and taught me, we weren't allowed to play for money, not even pennies.  So we played with match sticks.

Do you prefer card games or board games?
I like both.   I love Scramble and I love canasta.

Do you ever play drinking games?
Nope!

Are you good at Chess?
One game I never learned how to play.

Have you ever played Dungeons & Dragons?
Did you like it?
Never played this one!

Do you ever play solitaire when you’re bored?
Yes, I play solitaire all the time.  Every day!

Are you good at Trivial Pursuit?
Depends on the subject.

Have you ever been on a game show? Which one?
No, but I think it would be fun to be a contestant on
The Price is Right.

And.....

I love to play.....

Pinball !!!

I don't play the machines much anymore because I'm never where they have pinball machines.  I played often as a teen-ager and I've played over the years as an opportunity would come along.

Mr D loves to play dominoes!
We've spent many hours playing 42.

Until Next Time

Wednesday's Q&A

If you could have dinner with any person alive in the world today, who would that be?
That would have to be the Queen of England.  I love English History and have followed the Royal Family for many years.  It would also be great if Prince Harry could join us.

If you could ask God one question right now, what would it be?
When are You coming?
What a day that will be
When my Jesus I shall see
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me to the Promise Land
What a day, glorious day that will be.

If you could go back and visit any time period, what time would you travel to and why?
I wouldn't travel very far, just a few years back to my high school years.  Mr D and I had so much fun together, our love was new and life was good.

If you had to give up one of your senses (hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling, tasting) which would it be and why?
WoW, this one is hard.  It's a toss up between smelling and tasting.  As for why, because I can't imagine not being able to see my family, to hear their voices and feel their love.

If you could visit heaven right now and talk with one of the people of the Bible (other than Jesus), whom would you talk to?
Without a doubt, Paul.  I plan to look him up some day.  I call Paul the Gentile's Disciple.

Name a gift you will never forget?
My engagement ring which I received in October 1962.

If you had the power to change one problem in the world today, what would that problem be?
Hatred....I would remove it from every heart and replace it with love.

Tell me the first thing that you ever remember in your life.
I remember the day my baby brother came home from the hospital.  I remember my Mother placing him in the baby bed and letting me stand on the bottom rail so I could see him.  That was August 1949.

Would you have one of your fingers surgically removed if it gave you liftetime immunity from all major diseases?
I think I would.  I really don't like hypothetical questions.

What is your favorite book of the Bible?
I love The Book of Acts!
How can you pick a favorite?
All of God's Word is meant for our good!
