Sunsets

I've noticed recently that some of you have been sharing pictures of some beautiful sunsets and sunrises.  There have really been some great pictures shared, showing the awesome beauty of God's Creation!

I like to think God sits on His Throne and enjoys watching us enjoy His work, His Glory!

As Mr D and I were leaving Luby's last evening the sun was beginning it's journey below the horizon.  It was such a awesome sight.  I was delighted at the unplanned timing and even though I didn't have my camera, I did have my phone!!

I am really beginning to love this new cell phone with all the bells and whistles, and I'm slowly learning how to use it.  It is a gift from my son, he even pays the monthly fee!  For now anyway!
Thank you Rusty!

WoW, look at that!!

The sunset behind the clouds make such a pretty picture!

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Psalm 19:1

This picture was taken from my back door.
That's the high school stadium lights.
I love being this close to the school.  There have been many fall nights Mr D and I have sit on the porch and listened to the ball games. It's been a lot of years, but we both graduated from this school.
(Sorry it's blurry)

The week has flown by for me, here it is Friday again.

Friday is always fun because it's time for:
Friday Foto Friends over at
 Breathing In Grace

Until Next Time
Have a wonderful week-end!

  2. Mary--you changed your look here again and I am loving it...it is like opening a present--smiles.

We also have the high school in our backyard---we like it as well. Your pictures are just lovely. Non of us have smart phones--I have a dummy phone though, giggling.

    Have a beautiful day, friend.

  4. Beautiful sky photos! Believe it or not, this morning at 3:30 am, I took Mandy out and the sky looked very much like this. We have a full moon now and the cloudy were just beautiful. I wanted to stay out and look more but it was frosty. Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. Lovely photos, for sure! I don't even bother with my camera anymore. My phone has a much better one so it is all I need. We live several miles from the nearest high school, but some Friday nights we can hear the bands playing at halftime. I was in the marching band in high school, so marching bands at football games always make me pause to listen! :)

  7. Oh how lovely! I LOVE sunrises and sunsets. WE can't see them very well from our yard because of all the trees, but when I see a good one coming up or going down we sometimes jump in the car and drive to where we can get a better view. I love God's majesty as displayed in His beautiful sunrises and sunsets. No two are ever the same. To God be the Glory! I also love that you are close to the school and can enjoy the ballgames. That would be such fun. Nice to see folks with good school spirit! Love the picture of your kitchen above. So homey and interesting and just lovely. Thank you for sharing your home and life with us! Always so encouraging!

  10. One of the benefits of moving back home to Colorado from Flagstaff, AZ is seeing beautiful sunsets. In Flagstaff we lived at the base of the San Francisco peaks which blocked the view of sky-touches-land sunsets.
