I've noticed recently that some of you have been sharing pictures of some beautiful sunsets and sunrises.  There have really been some great pictures shared, showing the awesome beauty of God's Creation!

I like to think God sits on His Throne and enjoys watching us enjoy His work, His Glory!

As Mr D and I were leaving Luby's last evening the sun was beginning it's journey below the horizon.  It was such a awesome sight.  I was delighted at the unplanned timing and even though I didn't have my camera, I did have my phone!!

I am really beginning to love this new cell phone with all the bells and whistles, and I'm slowly learning how to use it.  It is a gift from my son, he even pays the monthly fee!  For now anyway!
Thank you Rusty!

WoW, look at that!!

The sunset behind the clouds make such a pretty picture!

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Psalm 19:1

This picture was taken from my back door.
That's the high school stadium lights.
I love being this close to the school.  There have been many fall nights Mr D and I have sit on the porch and listened to the ball games. It's been a lot of years, but we both graduated from this school.
(Sorry it's blurry)

The week has flown by for me, here it is Friday again.

Friday is always fun because it's time for:

  1. I told a fellow just last night that looking at the skies is a favorite of mine....well....except for too many gray ones in a row. ;) God planned for you to get to see it just at the right time. Thanks for linking up today. HOPE you have a good weekend...ours will be spent bundled all the fixins for chilli we're all set...unless we lose power.

    1. the header. What a cozy kitchen and dining room. So, now I know where we'll be sitting and chatting if I ever get to visit. :-)

    2. I would love to see you sitting at my table! Oh what a wonderful visit we would have!!!

  2. Mary--you changed your look here again and I am loving is like opening a present--smiles.

We also have the high school in our backyard---we like it as well. Your pictures are just lovely. Non of us have smart phones--I have a dummy phone though, giggling.

    Have a beautiful day, friend.

  3. Love the photos of the sunset. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing the bible verse. Hope you have a great day.

  4. Beautiful sky photos! Believe it or not, this morning at 3:30 am, I took Mandy out and the sky looked very much like this. We have a full moon now and the cloudy were just beautiful. I wanted to stay out and look more but it was frosty. Have a wonderful weekend.

  5. Love the rolling clouds,Mary. Just beautiful.
    Have a great day!

  6. Lovely photos, for sure! I don't even bother with my camera anymore. My phone has a much better one so it is all I need. We live several miles from the nearest high school, but some Friday nights we can hear the bands playing at halftime. I was in the marching band in high school, so marching bands at football games always make me pause to listen! :)

  7. Oh how lovely! I LOVE sunrises and sunsets. WE can't see them very well from our yard because of all the trees, but when I see a good one coming up or going down we sometimes jump in the car and drive to where we can get a better view. I love God's majesty as displayed in His beautiful sunrises and sunsets. No two are ever the same. To God be the Glory! I also love that you are close to the school and can enjoy the ballgames. That would be such fun. Nice to see folks with good school spirit! Love the picture of your kitchen above. So homey and interesting and just lovely. Thank you for sharing your home and life with us! Always so encouraging!

  8. Wonderful Post... My kids used to kid me about "it's a beautiful sunset"... I said that many times. I love sunsets... enjoy....

  9. Wonderful post and lovely photos. I just love the header to your page...if thats your kitchen I am totally jealous.
By the way...I have a MrD too

  10. One of the benefits of moving back home to Colorado from Flagstaff, AZ is seeing beautiful sunsets. In Flagstaff we lived at the base of the San Francisco peaks which blocked the view of sky-touches-land sunsets.
