Around Town

A well known art gallery in our area.

One of the sculptures on the grounds of the Crow's Nest Gallery.

We were so surprised when we saw this sign.  The existing church building is so pretty, I hate to see them move.  I know they know what's best for them and pray their move goes well.

On The Porch

Our fern is beginning to show signs of fall.
The weather isn't very fallish yet but
the plants know the season.

We've enjoyed a couple of cool mornings yet the days are still very warm.

It's beginning to feel different outside,
I think fall is slowly rolling in.

  1. Good photo's for this week, Mary. We had cool weather the last couple mornings, I think it was 53 this morning. Love it, tired of 90 and 100 degree temperatures.

  2. Hi Mary, It is nice to see glimpses of your world. I enjoyed the art gallery and that's interesting about the church relocating. I wonder if another congregation will move into their present building eventually? Yesterday and today have been our most pleasant Fall days, so far. It has been so brutally hot and dry. I wish you a good day and hope the weekend will be very enjoyable, also.

  3. It's been very pleasant here in Texas with cool mornings and warm days, but not too hot. That is a neat statue of mother and child on the park bench.

  4. I really like that sculpture of the mother and child. We are having slightly cooler mornings too. Today the humidity feels a bit less as well. Have a great day.

  5. Oh I love the sculpture of the mother and child. Interesting photos around the town, and from your porch. It is beginning to look/feel like fall is coming, even here in Florida. The sunlight is different, and the air has a different feel, although still not cool enough for me. One day at a time. Thank you for these pictures. Such fun to see your world.

  6. My ferns seem to know it's fall too. I am enjoying the cooler temps though! Love the culture in your first photo!

  7. Mary, I loved seeing your photos today! The Crow's Nest Art Gallery would be fun to visit! We don't see any signs of Fall just yet, but they are coming! The seasons really do change here in Florida, but the signs are just more subtle.

  8. you know, Mary, your blog header makes me smile. It has been feeling like fall here in western NY the last few days, highs in the 50's and rain...and not complaining. smiles

  9. Hi Mary, I love your around town photos, especially the bronze of the woman and child on the park bench. Sorry to hear about your church moving. Our diocese has been talking about closing our church which has already been combined with two others as one pastor/priest is communicating between the three churches and ours seem to be the smallest with the lesser congregation. I pray not as it's the only one close enough for me and I don't drive anymore. Love your autumn header. Have a blessed day ahead.
