Wednesday Medley

Time to join in with Terri at
Your Friend From Florida
because it's time for. . .
. . . Wednesday Medley

Today's Questions:

1. On November 28th, 1995, President Bill Clinton ended the 55 MPH nationwide speed limit that began in 1974 as an energy saving measure during the Mid-East oil embargo. If you are old enough to remember this (I sure am) did it make you happy? Do you have a heavy foot when driving or does 55 MPH sound good to you?

I was very young when the speed limit changed to 55mph, and I didn't like it at all.  Over the years we got used to it and it wasn't so bad.  I still think it's a little slow for freeways and interstates, so I'm glad it was changed.

2. You are home alone on a rainy/snowy Sunday afternoon. What Christmas movie will you watch?
There are too many to choose from, I would probably watch the Hallmark Channel.  Their Christmas movies are cute and entertaining.  Now if White Christmas was on I would have to watch that!

3. What is something you have tried that you will never try again?
I know there has to be something but for the life of me I can't imagine what it might be!  How about....childbirth!  Sure not going to do that again. lol

4.  Today is National French Toast Day!!  Will you have some?  Do you like French Toast?
I am writing this post on Tuesday evening and I don't know if we'll have French toast in the morning or not.  Mr D and I both love French toast and I would be happy to have it for tomorrow's breakfast.

5. The Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center will be lighted today, as will the one at the White House in Washington, D.C. Do you have your tree up and is it lighted? Have you ever been in New York City or Washington, D.C. to see the trees all lit up during the holidays?
Our tree isn't up yet, hopefully it will be up this weekend.  I've never been to Rockefeller Center or The White House to see the trees.  I've always watched on TV and it's a beautiful sight to see.

6. Tell us something random about this week of yours.

It's almost time for The Singing Christmas Tree at First Baptist Church of Pasadena. First performance is Dec. 6th, our tickets are bought and we are looking forward to going.

One of my pictures from years past.  There are singers on every level of the tree, it's hard to see them but they are there! Not only does the tree 'sing' there is also a play of Christ birth, it's a wonderful program.

Thanks for hosting Terri!

Until Next Time

  8. Our First Baptist Church used to have the Singing Christmas Tree but I'm not sure if they do it any longer. There's a HUGE church about 10 minutes from us that does one but I've never been to it.
