from my desk -
My desk is a mess. Lately it has been a catch all, things just appear from nowhere. Well, it seems that way. I'll spend time filing, trashing, putting things away, and dusting. I no more turn my back and there's a mess again. {{sigh}} I'm just thankful I'm still able to get the clean up done! It might be a small blessing, but a blessing just the same.
one by one -
One by one I'm getting first of the year projects done! I'll soon finish the St. Patrick's Day cross stitch, ane move on to something else. It's good for me to keep my hands and mind busy.
sing praise -
All the time. I love so many praise songs, up tempo and down tempo. Lively and sacred. But around the house you will easily find me singing the Doxology. I just love the words and the melody.
at the well -
I had to think about this one. First thing that came to mind was the lady that Jesus met at the well. In a Bible Study recently I learned that it wasn't a chance meeting, Christ had a plan, He purposely was there at the time He knew this woman would be there. He already knew her past, yet he used her to tell others about His saving grace. In the beginning she had no idea who she was talking too, and by the time the conversation was over she knew she had met her Lord and Savior, she was redeemed. God is like that, He will seek us, and talk to us, and redeem us, no matter our baggage.
A Loving Savior, there is no doubt.
I would love to meet Him at the well, wouldn't you?
You'll find the story of the lady at the well in John 4. You can click HERE to read about it in Bible Gateway.
Hearth and Home -
Spent a fun afternoon putting this tablescape together. I enjoyed including the mug, it's one of Tara's creations.
a woman's altar -
Heavenly Father,
I pray that you will give me
strength to be strong for You in the
world today. Lord, you know the struggles that I
will face today. Be with me as I go through them.
Carry me if I am too weak and forgive me if I stumble. When I succeed Lord, all praise and glory will be yours.
In Your Precious Name,
Amen
noteworthy -
GLOW celebrated it's 8th birthday today. We had such a great time eventho two were missing. Mary and Arlene were 'under the weather,' they sure were missed.

ReplyDeleteI should clean off my desk - a good project for me this week. :)
What a pretty table scape! I love all the blues. GLOW sounds like a wonderful ladies' group! Friendship with those with like faith is so important.
ReplyDeleteI have to keep my desk organized or my mind just doesn't function! Have a lovely rest of the day.
Mary, I enjoyed your responses to these prompts today! I've mentioned before how much I love GLOW and your group of believers! Wishing you a blessed week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI sang the Doxology out loud! Well, under my breath but still. :) Love your tablescape. I kept scrolling back up to see something new: the blue stars with white stars, the blue heart coasters, the goose on the sugar bowl... That's a beautiful picture of the Glow ladies. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHard not to sing the Doxology. I used to do cross stitch and other embroidery but its been a long time now. I think it would play games with my poor eyes.
