Here it is Monday, time to get this new week started!
I'm going to a party!!
Hope I'm stronge enough, I think I am.
Tonight is Jason and Hannah's engagement party.
We're going early so we can park closest to their front door and get in and get situated before all the guest arrive. I am really looking forward to a great time.
The outer bands of Tropical Storm Alberto came through last week, fortunately we weren't hit as hard as first predicted. A lot of rain but no flooding, except the boat ramp at Sylvan Beach and other low areas when high tides came in.
The piers were under water at the Sylvan Beach Boat Ramp. The storm caused high tides to be extremely high.

The Black-Eyed Susan represents justice. These flowers can also stand for encouragement and motivation They look like miniature sunflowers!

ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy you are going to the engagement party! I hope you are having a good time, since you are probably there now while I am writing this. So happy for your family! Glad the storm didn't do any damage where you were. We are still waiting for some more rain...it just never seems to quite make it here except in a few little showers now and then. But we are thankful for whatever we get. Love the turtle poem. Hope you have a blessed week.

So thankful you weren't flooded. Hard to believe the pier was underwater. That's a lot of water! Cute picture of the turtle. Love that verse. Do you remember the song with those words?
ReplyDeleteBlack eyed Susan is one of my favorites. I have a bunch of them. When I was a kid there was a field full of them and I fell in love. Glad you didn't flood! I hope you had a lovely time at the party.
