It's such a pretty day, I'm going to sit on the porch a while, hopefully there will be a little breeze coming in from the bay. That always helps to ease the heat. I'm taking my book and do a little reading, I'm so far behind in that area. I've picked this book up several times lately and just haven't been able to focus on the words. Maybe today will be the day!!

It's almost 5:30 and I'm fixing my dinner and hearing thunder in the distance. I see on your weather here you are 10 degrees cooler than here. Have a good day Mary.
ReplyDeleteGood info! The last couple of years this reader (former bookworm) has experienced just what you described ... unable to focus on the written word. Nevertheless, I keep trying -- and changing reading material when I get 'stuck.' Hopefully it will click!
ReplyDeleteAmen! I love that word. We sing that song in church every Sunday morning as we begin the service. It's a great way to get people up on their feet and ready for worship. I tried to sit on our porch a little while ago as we were actually having a nice rain shower for a change, and it felt so nice out there. But I was disturbing the peace of the bluebirds and the hummingbird and had to come back inside so they could tend to their duties and not fear the human on the porch! Hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend. Sometimes life is more interesting than a book, so don't miss the real story around you!
ReplyDeleteI like your journal post today. I tend to read at night when I am less distracted. I finally finished the Left Behind series. I like to sit in the backyard and watch the birds play in the birdbath, a distraction I like. The Lord provides for them and us! Have a happy Sunday!
