I had a wonderful phone call Saturday evening.

Me: Hello

Tammy: Hi, what ya doin'?

Me: Nothing right now, what are you doing?

Tammy:  Well actually I'm on my way to your house.

Me: Well okay, c'mon.

Tammy: I have something for you.

Me: Really, well c'mon!!

Tammy:  I'm already at Sens Road, I'll be there soon.

Me: Okay, bye, love you.

Tammy:  Love you too, bye.

Oh my goodness look what that girl brought me!

I love it!!  Her and Bo had been to Tomball browsing all the antique shops, lucky me!!

My breathing hasn't been right lately.  Of course with COPD it's never right, but it's been outside the realm of what is right for me these days.  It happens sometimes, just the way it is.  Anyway, my inhaler doesn't give me near the relief my nebulizer does and I've decided to put the inhaler away for a while and use the nebulizer.

The inhaler takes about 2 seconds morning and night.  The nebulizer takes 20 minutes three times a day.  It's more inconvenient but helps so much more.

Monday is Chicken & Rice soup day at Luby's, Mr D's favorite!
We'll be there this afternoon for sure.

I Found a Blessing at Luby's

We went to one of our favorite places to eat this afternoon.  There is a very young girl that works as a server, I've noticed her before.  She just seems to be so sweet, always a smile and a friendly hello.

As she was serving me today she commented that she really liked the shirt I was wearing, I thanked her and thought, "this old thing?"  Then she smiled that sweet smile and told me I reminded her of her Mother.

At first I didn't think too much about it, I just thanked her and moved along to get my drink.

When we sat down I was reflecting on the conversation with the young lady.  When she told me I reminded her of her Mother the love in her voice and on her face was so obvious.  Suddenly I was taken back, I realized how nice it was to her that I reminded her of her Mother.

A feeling of blessing came over me, a feeling very hard for me to describe.  I am so humbled that I reminded her of a mother she loves so much.

Sometimes the smallest things give very big blessings.

Tea on Tuesday

I think everyone knows by now that I am a coffee hound!!  But I know there are several of you that are tea drinkers....I like tea too....so, let's have a tea party!!

The Tea Party
- Jessica Nelson North

I had a little tea party
This afternoon at three.
'Twas very small -
Three guest in all -
Just I, myself and me.

Myself ate all the sandwiches,
While I drank up the tea;
'Twas also I who ate the pie
And passed the to me.

Tea Trivia:

Tea bags were invented in 1908 in the United States by Thomas Sullivan. He created small silk bags to give samples of tea to his customers. Some of them thought that the bags were supposed to be put directly in the tea pot, like a metal infuser, rather than emptied out. Thus, the tea bag was created by accident

Mr D and I with two of our daughters at The Sycamore Tea Room.
This was just a few years ago, we had such a good time.

You can't get a cup of tea large enough
or a book long enough to suit me.

Coffee In a Teacup

Hello!
Welcome to
Coffee in a Teacup Tuesday!
Sometimes I wish I could stop time from going so fast.
But on second thought, why would I do that?
God has given another day to be with family and friends...
and another day closer to being with Him.
Life is good!
I see in the news and social media these new phrases...
Black lives matter (yes they do)
Police lives matter (yes they do)
Military lives matter (yes they do).

And the list can go on and on.
I have a list, it's very short.

ALL lives matter !

Today I'm sharing from:
Words of Jesus for Women

You Matter

You matter to God.
The choices you make matter to Him.
In this crazy, over-committed, demanding life there may be times when you wonder if anyone is paying attention to you.

GOD IS

He drops everything to celebrate when you trust Him. If He does that, it just makes sense that He also celebrates your victories and empathizes with your hurts.

HE CARES

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Luke 15:10

Jesus made this statement after talking about how a woman looked everywhere to find one lost coin.  When she found it all her friends came and celebrated with her!

Let it be a reminder that Jesus loves you.

Though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not.

Memo:
The sweet cup and doily were a gift from my
daughter, Tammy!  Love you Tammy!

Isn't it wonderful to know we matter to God?

Until Next Time

Tea Cups and Sweeties

I love presents, especially surprise presents that are for no special reason!

A 'just because' gift.

My daughter Tammy and her hubby love to take big vacations and short day trips.  I love for them to take them too because Tammy usually brings me a teacup from her journey.  Thank you Tammy ~ I think you might be spoiling me just a bit.

It was also wonderful that sweet Emma and Ava came with her to deliver my gift.  They were so cute when I ask if they would hold the cup and saucer so I could take their picture.

I told them they had to be very careful and not drop them, as you can see, Emma (on the left) could hardly contain herself.

After the pictures were taken they went out on the porch to sit in the swing and talk to Great PawPaw.

Bad weather was on it's way and Tammy decided to cut our visit short and get home with the girls.
Mr D and I enjoyed their visit and we're anxiously waiting for them to visit again.

Until Next Time
There is nothing more wonderful than the love of family.
