Friday Foto Friends

Our Parks department has given us a new walking trail in one of our local parks.

I think I could make a 1/2 mile, maybe!

There are benches along the way if you need to rest.

Mr D and I would enjoy a slow walk on a cool afternoon.

  1. What a nice walking trail! Is it sand on the path?

  2. That's a lovely trail. I find it easier to walk on the earth instead of pavement. I think you can make 1/2 mile especially if there are places to rest along the way. Go for it Mary :-)

  7. How lovely!! I doubt I could make it 1/2 mile, Mary! Walking trails are really nice for those who can get out and take that walk!

  8. That sounds like a great little walk...I say do it!!! Especially when the weather cools down a bit. We try to walk our road every day at least two times, and that total round trip twice would probably equal 1 mile a day. That has been really good for us...and gives me opportunities for photos...so I highly recommend walking...but take your camera!! You just never know what you might see!

  9. I would enjoy a walk on that trail. Plano has some beautiful trails and we have a nice trail behind our house, but I won't walk it anymore unless someone is with me due to the bobcats and coyotes. Me Scaredy Cat!

  10. It's so nice to see towns develop walking trails like this! Knoxville has several "greenways" that are very pleasant to walk. The one I used to walk when I was staying with my son and daughter in law made you feel like you were far from a city.

  12. What a lovely trail to meander through at one's leisure. Now...if you just had some cool weather to go with it you would be all set. :)

  13. With all the emphasis on the benefits of exercise it's good to see nice paths being created. I try to walk at least 5 days a week and my hubby comes on days when he can. He has bad knees ( even though he had knee replacement).
