It's been a rainy, dreary day.  The good thing is it kept the temps down so I decided to sit on the porch a while.

The bad new is. . .

. . . the mosquitos almost took me away!

I ran back into the house for cover! 😄😃

There are so many nights when I just can't sleep, so I turn on the TV and hope to find something good to watch, hopefully a good movie.  I hit the jackpot the other night when I watched this moldie oldie.
How Green Was My Valley
1941

At the turn of the century in a Welsh mining village, the Morgans, he stern, she gentle, raise coal-mining sons and hope their youngest will find a better life.

It was great!

Do you like old black and white movies?
 I sure do!

Until Next Time

  1. I do enjoy black and white movies. They feel so classy to me. I'm surprised that I've not encountered any mosquitos here in TN. Maybe they spray and I just am not aware.

  3. The Texas Mosquitoes are enormous and the Manitoba ones are almost as big. I remember trying to fall asleep but a mosquito was buzzing around, waiting for me to get to sleep so it could get me. For some reason I always had more bites than my friends. How they itched!

  4. I think I remember watching that movie. I need to look that up again. I may have read the book. It sounds so familiar. Yes, the mosquitoes are pretty vicious here too. can't sit outside for long at all. Too much rain! Speaking of which, how are things in your part of the country? I hope you are high and dry enough!! Take care.

    1. Pamela, as of today my area is doing okay, a few streets were flooded this morning. More rain is coming, causing some concern. Right now my heart is heavy for those on the east coast. On our weather map looks like your area is getting a lot of rain too. Prayers for all.
