That tragic day. . .
September 11, 2001
I remember it well, a day of total disbelief, sadness and grief.
A day spent in front of the TV, a day spent in quiet prayer.
Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.”

Thank you, Mary, for this touching tribute to those who gave their lives, whether it be because of where they were at the Towers or in the plane that crashed in PA, or if they were those first responders ...those who took no thought for their own lives. ..they all should be in our thoughts today...and the families that were left behind who still suffer the loss of their loved ones.
ReplyDeleteThat was a day no one will forget... I remember I was at home with my son, My husband works for Boein so they had it all over the news there
ReplyDeleteI remember what a sad time for our country. Praying God blesses each survivor today and also the families of all those who died that day.
ReplyDeleteA sweet tribute to a day we won't forget. Thank you, Mary.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful remembrance, Mary. We are also praying for those in the path of Florence.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quotes, Mary! I'd not seen that one by Sandy Dahl.
ReplyDeleteAlthough our lives have taken dramatically different paths - both geographically and politically, today I e-mailed my former boss to say it was an honor spending that horrific history with she and Matthew.
