Friday's Five Favorites

Sharing five of my favorite things, play along with me in the comments!!

1 ~ Cocker Spaniels
From Yahoo Images
My sweet cocker Willie Dog, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in 2009, I still miss him.

2~ Pumpkin Pie Blizzards
Pumpkin Pie Blizzards are gone until next fall. {{sigh}}

3 ~ Pretty stationery, does anyone write letters anymore?
It seems everyone does email these days, it's just a sign of the times I suppose.  But I still love a handwritten letter on pretty stationery.

4 ~ Scented bath beads, I have a lavender scent.
From Yahoo Images
Smells so good and it's so relaxing.

5 ~ A carnival, I haven't been to one in a long time.
I love riding the ferris wheel !

Hope you're having a Fantastic Friday!

Until Next Time

  1. I love letters too, Mary, and have recently bought myself some pretty writing paper!

  2. Oh, I used to collect pretty writing paper, lacey edges, pretty tops. Oh, love writing letters. Your dog was beautiful. Cocker Spaniels are so dear and I think have the tenderest hearts of all dogs. I think I went to one carnival in my life but I hardly remember. I was never big on rides since most of them scared me.

  3. I was all for ferris wheel rides long ago but now I've turned into a bit of a chicken.
I don't write many letters any more. I used to write to my Mom but she, of course, has long passed away.

  4. I miss writing and receiving letters. I saved a bunch of letters from my mother, and she saved a lot of mine to her, which I got back after she died. I don't write much anymore, and my blog seems to be my letter to everyone who is interested. But it is sad that we won't be leaving much of a written documentary of our lives in our own handwriting for future generations to read. But, they probably wouldn't read them anyway. So sad. Loved your pictures, and your Cocker was so pretty. I know you must miss her. Went to a lot of carnivals as a child, and we took our grandson to the fair every year for his birthday as it was always at that time and he loved the rides. A very special memory.

  5. Mary, I haven't had a bath in so many years I forget the last time! LOL I shower every morning, but just do not get in the tub. I do enjoy carnivals, but more for the food instead of the rides these days! I love dogs and cats and do miss my babies that have crossed the rainbow bridge. Pretty stationery is long gone from our house but I used to love getting it with matching envelopes. Yes, the computer and internet have kind of ruined that for most of us. Blizzards are yummy, but I would not get a pumpkin flavored one. Have a good weekend!!

  6. I write to friends and family regularly-cards and letters. I do email and text but letters are important too. I wonder when people thought they were so busy they could not sit down and write a letter or even type and print out and mail? Alas!

  7. I still purchase stationery...mostly note cards these days. And we had a blonde cocker named Taffy. Marvin grew up with a cocker named Mittens and his parents had a red cocker named Honey. They are sweet dogs.

  8. We had a beautiful day in NYC today and the temperature was 70 degrees. I got to my favorite water aerobics class for seniors with arthritis and instead of the usual 20/25 people we were only ten. No crowding after for free swim. Good wishes for the week!
