The Sky Above Us! #10
Welcome Friends to another Tuesday 4 started by Toni Taddeo and kept up in her honor and memory by Annie.
Let's talk about the sky above us okay?
Let's talk about the sky above us okay?
1. Some people have a pet planet or a planet they think is cool. What about you?
I don't have a pet planet but I do love the sky at night. A clear starry night is a miracle to behold.
4. Do you think money is wasted on the space program that might be better used on earth?
2. Whether you believe in astrology or not, you do have a "sign". What is yours and do you fit the description in any way?
I don't do the 'astrology' thing, but I do believe there are signs and wonders in the heavenlys. God orchestrated it all, placing each star in it's place and giving each a name. I was born under Pisces. I encourage you to watch the link below, Lou Giglio - Our God is Undescribable

3. Do you stay up late to watch meteorite showers or crane your head to see the clouds in the daytime?
I am a cloud watcher, clouds are so beautiful, even when they're ugly, if you know what I mean.
It's been a long time since I've seen a meteor shower or a falling star, I would certainly crane my head if one appeared over me!! Yep, I would.
4. Do you think money is wasted on the space program that might be better used on earth?
This is a hard question for me. I find space exploration fascinating, when man first landed on the moon I was watching every newscast about that special event. Looking into the unknown is a little scary and a lot educational. With that said, there are so many 'broken' things on earth that I would love to see fixed. I just don't know if the space program is worth the money that could be spent making this earth a better place to live. So, to answer the question, I just don't know, I guess I'm really leaning more toward 'fixing what's broke' right here on earth.
I would love to see . . .
No more world poverty
No hungry children
Lower rates for health care and prescription drugs
A cure for cancer
Lower college tuition
Affordable housing
The cost of food to be less
I would love to see the necessities of life be more affordable, so many people struggle just to have what they need. And there are so many that do without, simply because the cost is too high.
Until Next Time

I like your cloud pictures. I almost took one today but I didn't and now it is raining!
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same torn feelings as you when it comes to space exploration. It's fascinating and exciting, but all that money could feed, house, and clothe a lot of people in need here on Earth. Have a blessed day, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your answers Mary. I am so glad you joined in, smiles. Have a great day friend.
ReplyDeleteSince I live in Huntsville Alabama I have to say the Space Program has produced a lot of technology that we use daily so I do think it was worthwhile. I will never forget the Christmas that the astronauts showed a pictue of earth and read Genesis. It has stayed with me all these years.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers, especially #4. Have a good Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteLove looking at the sky, day or night!
ReplyDeleteWonderful response to #4, Mary! I couldn't have said it better!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good day Miss Mary. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteInteresting questions and good responses, Mary!
ReplyDeleteThe sky is an ever changing art show. BTW love your header!!~
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your answers and your thoughts about the space program.
ReplyDeleteI love clouds too at least most of them. The solid gray ones that hang over us for weeks at a time in winter are not very likeable though. Stars I love too. I remember camping in an area with no light pollution and seeing the dark navy blue sky with absolutely trillions of stars. It's an experience I'll never forget.
ReplyDeleteI love how you answered your questions! I am not into astrology either.
ReplyDeleteBTW..Lou Giglio speaks at our church a couple of times a year (James River Church, Ozark, MO). I enjoy him! Thanks for sharing! Loved your answers! Have a nice day!
