Friday's Five Favorites

My favorite five for this week . . .

1. Cross stitch ~ I enjoy stitching and looking at patterns others have stitched.  It's not unusual to find me browsing cross stitch magazines, I seem to be a pattern collector.  Maybe I'll get a few small ones stitched in the next few weeks.  We'll see. . .

2. My azalea bush ~ I set it out last year.  I'm really pleased to see it full of blooms and growing.

3. Scented soap ~ It was so nice of my friend Linda's daughter, to make all of the GLOWer's some of her homemade soap.  It smells so good, I haven't used it yet because I don't want to use it up.

4. Teddy Bears ~ even at my young age, I can't resist a teddy bear.😄

5. Biblical Archeology ~ a subject that always catches my interest.  I watched a documentary last night about the exodus and the crossing of the Red Sea, it was so interesting.  Timothy P. Mahoney investigates one of the greatest miracles of the Bible, retracing the steps of Moses and the Israelites, looking for answers in the patterns of evidence.

I'm anxiously waiting for part 2 which will be released in May.

Praying for an end to this virus that is sweeping our country.

Prayers that everyone is well.

Until Next Time

  3. Two of your favourites this week are also big favourites of mine, namely Teddy Bears ( you know I collect them) and scented, homemade soap. I can't get myself to use mine either. I put the bars in the drawer amid my night gowns. They smell heavenly!! Stay safe, GM

  4. Love your pictures. Happy photos of happy times. I love homemade soaps too. We have someone who makes them and I am hooked on it now and won't use any other. My preference is the lavender scented one. Love your teddy bear. I have one very similar, I think because I liked yours so well last time I saw it that I decorated my little bear to look almost the same! Love your azaleas... And that documentary sounds very good. Is it from a Biblical perspective? Sometimes they have documentaries on TV that are trying to figure out these things from a scientific perspective rather than from faith and God's Word. I would enjoy one that stays true to God's Word. I hope you stay healthy and safe during these difficult days. Blessings.

    1. It is from a biblical perspective. He interviews scholars who believe and scholars who don't, but he is a Christian and is trying to retrace the actual Exodus and the right place of the crossing. I don't watch any documentaries that aren't following the Word of God. I have started watching a few but I have to shut it off. God's Word is true! Hope you and your family stay healthy during these days too. Sending you a ((hug))

  7. Like you, I love cross stitching and collecting patterns. And also like you, I find it hard to turn away from teddy bears. I have, however, started speaking quietly to them when I see them in a shop and wish them the best before I turn away. (crazy, I know, but the whimsey in me keeps me from being too too serious)

  10. Well, I guess I have to thank the social distancing requirements for giving me extra time to read blogs. It was nice to pop in and catch up with you. I have a cross-stitch project in the works also, it is a table topper for Easter. I bought it online, and it has the tiniest Xs I have ever stitched. It is slow going - but I guess I have time, right?
