“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”
Lady Bird Johnson
Just a few pictures from this summer.
This is a rabbit's paw fern, the roots grown outside the pot and usually grow down. For reasons I don't know, this summer they grew up. And another thing, rabbits paw fern does not come close to what this plant looks like, I think it should be a tarantula fern. I think those furry roots look like tarantula legs.
The pink geraniums did really well this year, I was surprised!
And last today, my Hearts of Hawaii. It has also done very well this year, if you look close there's a third bloom hiding behind a leaf. This is my 'baby' and I treat it as such. It's 3 or 4 years old now, and I'm very surprised it's still growing and doing well.
I haven't got a green thumb, it's all 'take a chance and see if it grows' for me. My Mother and grand daughter Maegan ~ anything they put in the ground or a pot flourishes. Maegan gave me the Crown of Thorns as a cutting and it's doing well, only because she got it started!!
Maegan and Joe at the Astros game this past weekend.
He paid a debt He did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.
He paid it all. He gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone.
. . . . . and Jesus said, "IT IS FINISHED."
Until Next Time
Beautiful flowers and so thankful Jesus paid it all!
ReplyDelete{{Mary!!!}} I am so happy to see you, my friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful porch! I agree with you about the "Tarantula legs"! That's the first thing I thought! Spider legs!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
Amen!! Happy flowers, happy porch, happy You!! Happy for Jesus!!!
ReplyDeleteThose hairy things do look like tarantula legs!! I have Rabbits Foot Fern but so far the only hairy 'legs' are about 2" long. They are not growing any longer.
ReplyDeleteThe pink Geranium is lovely!!
Those roots do look a bit freaky! I think you plants look lovely though!! Looks like fun at the Astros game! I enjoyed your post! It is always good to see you here! xo
ReplyDeleteJesus paid it all! All to Him I owe.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous. Most of my outside pots are pretty much dead or dying from the extreme heat this year. I'm not planting pots next year. I'm thinking of quality silk flowers in a very few pots.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your plants are lovely. Especially like the Heart one. I haven't ever seen one like this. Beautiful.
