Let's talk about The Wild West!
1. Do you have a favorite TV western you enjoyed? Tell us about it.
Mr D and I both love Gunsmoke, we still watch it every night M-F. I love the characters, Matt, Kitty and Doc, in the very early years it was Chester and later came Festus. I really enjoy his character played by Ken Curtis. There are too many others to name.
2. Lots of western movies... which was one you enjoyed?
Once again, there are just too many to name, Mr D and I are big western fans. We really like the movies with Jimmy Stewart or John Wayne. Tom Selleck has made some good westerns also.
3. John Wayne was in many westerns and had many fans. What actor is your favorite?
Oops, already answered in #2.
4. You are going to have to move to a western state that has cowboys!
Which state will you choose and why?
I already live in a cowboy state, I'm a born and bred Texan. This is where I live and this is where I'll stay.

The stars at night - are big and bright
Deep in the heart of texas.
The prairie sky - is wide and high
Deep in the heart of texas.
The sage in bloom - is like perfume
Deep in the heart of texas.
Reminds me of - the one I love
Deep in the heart of texas.
Until Next Time
May the Good Lord take a liken to ya.
Hi Mary, it sure is nice to see you blogging again! I forgot about Gunsmoke. I like your siggie too! Where did you find it? Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have you back with us! And I am happy that you live in the big state of Texas!! I loved Gunsmoke too. There were a lot of good westerns on TV back in the day. We grew up watching them! It's too bad they aren't a popular subject for shows today. Kids are missing out on a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteAw, you're making me homesick for the Lone Star State! I'm singing right along, da-da-da-DA! 😊
ReplyDeleteI would answer very similarly to you except I would choose Washington, Idaho or Montana. I love the Pacific Northwest and we have some great friends and family there.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
If Texas ever decides to secede I'm joining you there! Fun questions and I enjoyed your answers! xo
ReplyDeleteC'mon Terri, we'd love to have you.
DeleteMy DH still watches reruns of the old Gunsmoke and others that we enjoyed years ago. I should sit with him and watch some for old times sake.
