We had rain, gusty winds and loud thunder yesterday, needless to say Buddy and Bitsy were nervous wrecks.  Buddy spent most of the day in my chair, snuggled between me and the chair arm while Bitsy was on the ottoman covered with my blanket.  They do not like bad weather.

She poked her head out long enough for a picture!

Today is Bitsy's 11th birthday.  She's getting so much gray, a little old lady for sure.

I've been thinking about a special word for 2022, and though many have passed through my thoughts, not a one has been 'The One.'   It's okay, I'll just wait until the right one comes my way.

I did see this on facebook and it's really making me think . . .

And then later today Peggy (youngest daughter) posted this  . . .

"Being a Christian is a statement about what Christ has done for me; being a disciple is a statement about what I'm doing for Christ."

I think there's a special word here. . .

I'm going to wait and listen!

Psalm 62:5
My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.

Until Next Time

  1. Happy Birthday little Bitsy! 😘
We got some of your storms this afternoon. I tried to nap, but every time I drifted off, the weather radio began howling. (Grumble, grumble, LOL) I'm anxious to learn your 'word'!

  2. We will "wait" and see what the Lord tells you. I love both the quotes you shared, good food for thought!! We talked about discipleship this morning in Sunday School. We are all to be making disciples, not just being one. But we do that sometimes just by our faithful living. That speaks volumes! Happy Birthday to Bitsy! Sorry about the storms. I think they may be headed our way tomorrow. I may have to hide my head under the blanket too! LOL. Have a blessed week.

  5. Happy Birthday to sweet little Bitsy. Storms can be scary when you're so little. They scare me sometimes too.
There is a LOT of wisdom in your post today Mary. I need to remember both quotes and the Psalm 62:5 scripture and ponder them all. Thank you for the food for thought.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
