God put the rainbow in the sky.
When God shut Noah in the grand ol' ark
God put a rainbow in the sky
Oh, yes, the sun grew dim and the days were dark
God put a rainbow in the sky
The Rainbow Covenant
The first instance of a rainbow that we find in the Bible is found in the story of Noah and the flood. God set a rainbow in the sky to serve as a sign of the covenant that he would never again destroy all life with flood waters.
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life”
Genesis 9:13-15
When we see a rainbow we are seeing the promise of God.
It's very inspiring to read about Noah and his faith in God. I pray for that kind of faith.
Genesis 6:9 - 9:17
Until Next Time
Thank you for posting this truth about the rainbow. It saddens me so much to see the rainbow being used for something so totally against God's plan for His creation. We must continue to share God's Word so that others will understand just how great and wonderful our God is and why the rainbow is such a beautiful gift to all humanity for generations to come. Your photos are amazing. Thank you for sharing this today.
ReplyDeleteIt saddens me too. Something so beautiful is being used to support something so against God's Word. Very sad indeed.
DeleteBeautiful! And I'm 100% in agreement with what Pam just said.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with every word both you and Pam wrote. Your post is beautiful and each time I see a rainbow I think about God and the promise he made to all of us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love
Betsy
