Today for Thursday 13 I'm sharing 13 things I love.
You can join in this fun link-up HERE!
1. Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Sweetest Name I know. Fills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go. There's within my heart a melody, Jesus whispers sweet and low, fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still in all of life's ebb and flow.
2. A good book
The Left Behind Series were great!
3. Dogs
Cockers are my favorite breed, even though I have Chihauhau's now.
4. Gospel Music & Old Hymns
I enjoy opening my old Baptist Hymnal and singing those old hymns.
5. Poems
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Sugar is sweet
And bloggers are too!
6. Quilts
7. Bible studies
One study that stands out the most for me was a study on Acts given by Doris W. at Second Baptist Church La Ports. Great teacher, I think I'll always remember that special class.
8. Family photos
I have them everywhere in my home. I like my family around me.
9. Home Sweet Home
10. Precious memories
Precious memories how they linger, how they ever fill my soul.
11. Pretty dishes
You can never have too many. 😊
12. Visits with family & Friends
Everyday!
13. Swing - I really love to swing
When I was a little girl if there was a swing close by that's where you would find me. It's still true today, difference is you'll find me on my porch swing. It's so much safer for this old lady.😀
A poem I memorized as a child:
Loving number 5...lol

Oh you stole my heart on quoting "The Swing" by RLS. That is my most favorite poem ever. I still have a little book of poem by him from my childhood that I dearly love. I love the quilt you made!! Wow! Talented lady! I enjoyed all of your answers and agree with them all!! Love your little poem...you are sweet too!! Have a blessed and joyous Easter!! Oh, I love the picture of your front door. Don't think I've ever seen it before!
ReplyDeleteYour tabletop quilt is stunning! I love the way you have it displayed. Happy Easter sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all of this and getting to know you better. I have photos of family everywhere too but I'm told that it's not proper decorating, they only belong in the bedroom. Not me. My family is in every room except the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteLove the poem and I was singing along on the songs.
Blessings,
Betsy
I miss the front porch swing where I grew up. I haven't had a front porch 1970. Sad. I enjoyed your post!! Easter is coming! xo
ReplyDeleteLove the swing poem and I too love to swing and I still do once in a while. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Yes. I remember being little and reciting that poem as I was madly pumping myself higher and higher. I only knew the first stanza but that was okay. It was a lot of fun. GM
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt! Excellent work!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post Mary! And I love to swing too!!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you when it comes to memories, dishes and family photos. Mu house is also filled with photos. They tell our story. And I can't get enough mugs. In fact I just bought another one this weekend! It has Nana written on it and has flowers around the bottom. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so open and honest with us in your posts
