It's a good day to have a good day.
I saw this phrase some time back and it has really stuck with me. It's short and to the point, just a little group of words with a powerful meaning.
“Have a great day” is a pretty simple statement. It doesn’t contain flowery words or figurative language. However, it can be as powerful as a hug or a pat on the back.
This morning, as all mornings, I came into the kitchen, poured myself a cup of ambition, made it to the table in front of my big window and plopped down. As the sunshine came pouring through the blinds my first thought was, it's a good day to have a good day. 😍 Thank You Lord!
I've been on a coloring streak lately, spending a lot of hours, coloring, coloring.
It's just part of a good day.
The little mug and saucer were created on the pottery wheel of my granddaughter, Tara.
I must admit, some days I do need an attitude adjustment!
“A great attitude is like a perfect cup of coffee/tea – don’t start your day without it.”
God helps me there, a little prayer is a great adjustment!!
Lord,
I rely on you alone for a better day, I believe you have a better plan for me and that's why I have a positive expectation. All things work together for those that love you, I love you Lord and I rely only on you for a positive result in all I do today.
Amen
Another thing that makes for a great day is laughter. I love to read funny little stories or quotes, and little funny graphics.
A senior moment . . .
Lord, I tried something new today. I put on two different earrings ~ but not on purpose. I never noticed until my granddaughter told me I looked cool. That made me smile
“I have learned over the years that the nicest thing I can do is to just say to myself is,
Louise Hay
With all this said, I'm wishing you a good day, because it's a good day to have a good day.
Blessings to All
Until Next Time
A sweet post. :)

DeleteHi Mary! I was needing cheering up today ... and here you are! That's too cute about the earrings; especially hearing your g'daughter call you 'cool.' I've not been 'cool' in years, but I may start calling myself 'Darling.'

DeleteYEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP on everything you said. It has been storming/monsoonal here in Florida and my husband said this morning, "You think we should just turn around?" Nah, its only rain albeit we couldn't see, grin. It's all part of one's attitude, Mary...just saying...and thanking the good Lord at every chance one gets is a must a least for me it is.
ReplyDeleteLinda, you are too funny. I hope you could see well enough to get you where you were going! lol
DeleteYes, it is a good day to have a good day. Thanks for the reminder. Mine has been good so far. I was a little grumpy this morning when I had some computer issues, but I apologized to hubby and the day has improved a lot. Hope you are having a good day Mary!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is good to have a good day. :) Even on not so good days, there is always some good in it. :)
ReplyDeleteToday is the day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Don't we just live for good days!! It really is all about attitude and I love all these little snippets you shared today! Have a blessed Sunday and week ahead! xo
ReplyDeleteI love that verse from Lamentations.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday ( and a Happy Father's Day to Mr D)
It definitely is a Good Day to Have a Good Day. I love your beautiful cup and saucer.

Good Morning, Darlin'!!!
ReplyDeleteMary, your posts just make me smile :) Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThis is was great! Yes, today IS a good day to have a good day!! Every day is if we'd just think about it and not let negativity take over! Sometimes I have to fight what's around me to keep things positive, but when I focus my eyes and ears on God, I can have a good day in the midst of a bad day! God is in control. I love the MUG and SAucer your granddaughter created! That is really special. And your coloring is magnificent!!! I'm afraid mine would look like a two year old did it! I just don't have the patience for things like that anymore, but I can appreciate what others are doing! I enjoyed this post. It lifted my spirits considerably!! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOh! I Love your coloring! SO pretty Mary!
