We have many pretty churches in our area, my favorites are the older ones, the architecture is so charming.
This is St. John's Episcopal Church, located just a block from our home. I love to hear their bells ring on Sunday mornings, a beautiful call to worship.
Right next to the sanctuary is the Sunday School/Fellowship building.
We also have a beautiful Catholic Church.
St. Mary's Catholic Church is just across from Sylvan Beach,
Even though I'm not Catholic, a Catholic Church always seems so holy to me.
Mr D and I had to run an errand and decided to stop at Denney's for lunch. He loves their 9-grain pancakes with Cane's sugar free syrup. I like their cheesy scrambled eggs with an English muffin. One thing about Denney's in our town, they have the worse coffee ever. I never put cream and sugar in my coffee until I go there. They used to have the hazelnut creamer which I like, but they've quit having it and now only have vanilla flavored. Well, that was aggravating, so when Mr D bought groceries he bought me a box of individual servings which I now carry in my purse. I love that man♥
Our errand took us to the credit union, they only had one drive thru window open so we had a little wait until our turn. I noticed this beautiful crepe myrtle and was so glad I had my camera with me.
For my Favorite Facebook Foto . . .
I found a new Facebook page called, All The Pretty Things!! Loved all their pictures, and these two really tickled me. Get ready to smile. 😊
Maybe they're getting ready to annoy this little guy.
Those pictures definitely made me smile. All three are such cutie pies. Both churches are so pretty, especially the Catholic church. I love that round window. Take care my friend.

Hi Mary, I like to look at old churches too. Breakfast at Denny's sounds good. Nice that your hubby bought you the creamer you like. I enjoyed your pictures. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm Catholic and never get tired of looking inside different churches...Some? I'd never know it was a church! So plain...I love tradition.
ReplyDeleteI always carry little packets of different things in my purse...you never know when you'll need them.
I'll try to find the link for All the pretty Things... sounds fun!
Happy weekend!
hugs

What lovely church photos. The first one looks very English!
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of the churches :) And those dogs are too cute and mischievous looking. I'll take the cat instead :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful assortment, Mary! I, too, love these old churches that almost reek of tradition and ceremony. We've not been to a Denny's in years; the one in Arizona was almost nasty. That's a wonderful idea, carrying the individual creamers. Very thoughtful, Mr. D!
ReplyDeleteMr D must be one of the most thoughtful men around!! I'm glad he takes good care of you.
ReplyDeleteCrepe Myrtle is such a pretty tree. It isn't grown around here because it would not survive our winters. GM
I love seeing old churches, and really any old building. Loved your photos and especially the cat!! Made me smile!! Hugs!

DeleteThose churches are beautiful. And those two pups, definitely look like they're up to something for sure! I wouldn't mind joining that cat sleeping on a sunny day!
