Tuesday 4

Friendship

".,,there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother" psalms 18

It's time once again for Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, hosted by Annie!

 Let's talk about friendship.

1. Do you have or have you had a special or best friend or do you consider all your friends the same?

I'm blessed with many friends, close and casual.  They are all special and bring different things into my life.  I've had two very special friends in my lifetime.  We were very close, one is now with the Lord and the other lives only a few miles away.  She was my very best friend for only a season and I still love her dearly.  We used to see each other occasionally, now health problems keep us at home.

A few of my dearest and oldest friends last January when we celebrated our 8 year GLOW anniversay.  Several were unable to attend and they were certainly missed.  Please meet, Sandy, Linda, Zephra and Pat, love these dear ladies.♥

2. Many in the past had close relationships and fell in love through letters.  What do you think of online friendships.. are they real ? Are there friends who last a lifetime?

I think online friendships are very real, sometimes it's hard to be as close to those friends as you would like, only because distance gets in the way.  Yes, there are friendships that last a lifetime, near or far.

3.  Are there stories, movies or TV programs that you enjoyed because of the friendship or relationship portrayed in it?

Yes, I'm having a hard time thinking of them right now.  I do enjoy the friendship of Matt Dillon, Doc Adams, Chester/Festus and Miss Kitty Russell.  They are always there for each other.

4. What does friendship mean to you?

Now you're making me think too hard.😀 It's nice to have a good friend to share things with, someone you trust and respect.

  2. Hi Mary! I like that you mentioned you have many friends, each that bring something different to your life. That's how I feel too. I do have a few long lasting friendships, but more so, I have good friends that I enjoy for different reasons. We don't see each other very often, but do keep up with one another. I think online friendships can exist. I have a few women that I've been blogging friends with, for years! It's a community within itself.

  3. Love that group photo of you and your friends. I do have my best friend in Spokane that I've had for many, many years. Her husband is Dennis's best friend too so that makes it really nice. We love to do thing together and have a cruise planned for January, God willing.
I also think online friendships are wonderful. I've been friends with a few blogging sisters for years and years. We may never meet in person, but we can write often.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  5. I forgot the friendship on Gunsmoke. They had a great relationship and looking back that was a real reason people loved the show. Thank you for joining in!

  6. What a sweet picture of you all Miss Mary. One of my sayings is "In order to have a friend you must be a friend". I too have many friends but I do have several that we are very close. I have a best friend that we have been friends since 4th grade. We raised our children together. Live about 3 miles from another. Go to church together and well...that is simply a blessing isn't it? Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  7. I have a friend with whom I have been close to for over 60 years. We met in high school and although we married and moved all over the country we never lost touch. GM
