Sunday Stealing

Name Your Favorite…

Place:
Home

Color:
Depends on my mood.  I have a lot of blues, reds and pink, I like pink.

Magazine:
I haven't looked at a magazine in ages.  At one time I liked Family Circle, Woman's Day and A Taste of Home.

Texture:
Soft

Thing to do when bored:
Cross Stitch, Jigsaw Puzzles, Read, Crosswords and call a friend, maybe they're bored too.☺

Precious stone:
Well, they say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but I think I would be happy with any of the precious stones.

Animal:
Cocker Spaniels, I've had several in my lifetime.

Time in history:
I enjoy anything from the 40's, no special reason, I just like that era.

My family around me, our get togethers are so much fun.

Fruit:
Watermelon, I just had some last night.  Yummy♥

Vegetable:
I love vegetables, not even going to try and choose a favorite.  I love them so much it's not unusable for me to order just a vegetable plate when we go out to eat.

Store/shop:
For many years I shopped at Sears and Foley's, my two favorite places.  Today, it's Amazon.

Quote:
With all the great quotes to choose from . . . I guess you might think this a little silly. . . . My sweet daddy would always say, "Mighty fine, mighty fine," everytime something would happen that he enjoyed.  It's one of my many precious memories of him, and I constantly say his words, even Mr.D says them!!
Jeff Lee Killough 1908-2000 - My Daddy♥

Historical figure:
Jesus, His disciples and Paul.

Letter:
M for Mary☺

Memory:
My children when they were little.  Before we moved to our new home, when we still lived in the home where they were raised, I could hear them all over the house.  Their tears and laughter were imbedded in the walls.  So many wonderful memories in that house.

Dessert:
Once again, there isn't just one, cheesecake is yummy, apple pie, Cake in any flavor and ice cream.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.

Candy:
Snickers, Baby Ruth, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - one of each please.

Restaurant:
Cracker Barrel, Outback Steakhouse, and Gringos Mexican Restaurant.

Bible Prophecy, I just can't get enough.

Thing about yourself:
Child of God, Thank You Lord - Wife - Mother - Granny - Great Granny - Great, Great Granny - Daughter - Sister - Bookkeeper - at one time AVP of Operations at our local bank.  I'm also a GLOW sister with a great group of ladies, and I'm a blogger!

  4. Family Circle...wasn't that the magazine that had a column written by Gladys Taber. That';s where I first learned to admire her and ended up owning many of her non-fiction books.
    Adalyn sure is a cutie!!

  5. Great comments. I love thinking about the sounds of your kids in the house (my kids are now in their 50s). I wish I loved vegetables, but I just don't.

  6. A house is really quiet after the children move out. I'm glad we have our grandchildren to fill it with noise again. :)

  9. Fun questions! You know, I can practically hear your dear daddy saying that in a Texas twang. Sweet. Woman's Day was a fixture on my mother's coffee table; it makes me long to return to 1950's America. Thanks for the link to ribbit; I'm going over to play this evening!

  10. How fun to learn more about you since I'm a relatively new blog friend. Our first credit card was Montgomery Ward. Now I shop mostly on Amazon.
I'm not really into precious stones. My engagement ring has diamonds but I would have been happy with just a plain wedding band. I also love to be home but I also LOVE to travel with our camper. I used to like to fly but it's not nearly as much fun as it used to be. The seats are too close together and TSA is difficult because each airport is completely different on what they allow, even though they are supposed to be the same.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
