Rainy Days and Mondays
Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 where we ask just 4 questions each week to get you blogging and thinking and meeting other bloggers! This fun meme is hosted by Annie!
Thank you Annie♥
Rainy Days and Mondays was a song about being down but, not everyone is down on a Monday or a rainy day.
1. Do Mondays get you down or did they ever? How about a rainy day? What makes it better?
When I worked, I always dreaded Monday, first day back at work after the weekend. Mondays were always very busy, making for a very long day.
2. How do you like to spend rainy days?
At home with a good book or watching good movies.
3.Do you like to take a walk in the rain?
No, I don't think I would enjoy walking in the rain, now maybe a sprinkle or two would be different.
4.What is your weather like this summer so far? What would make it better or worse? What is your ideal summer weather?
HEAT WAVE. Most of Texas is having drought issues, some areas worse than others.
Of course rain would make it better. Ideal summer for me would be temps in the 70's everyday!

DeleteHi Mary, the weather has been difficult this summer. But we had so much rain in the Spring and now we have nightly rain even if its a smattering or a full blown gushing. Grateful for it all. Praying for Texas and Wisconsin, someone said was in a terrible drought. too. Good answers. Stay cool and I hope you will get some relief very soon.

DeleteI liked all your answers. We were in the mountains this weekend, it looked like rain and a shop had huge beautiful umbrellas on sale. I wish we had bought one. We could use it in the evening here. Take care, stay cool and we can pray for Texas.

DeleteI remember Karen Carpenter singing this song! What a huge loss, her death.
ReplyDeleteYa, this year's heat wave seems so much more pronounced than what I remember. Praying!

DeleteI've noticed the 100s in Texas and the high humidity. Just awful Thank goodness for air conditioning! I didn't mind Monday when I was in school but working was a different thing. I never liked working outside the home.
ReplyDeleteAnnie, I never liked working outside the home either, but I did for many years. When I left the bank I wanted to do cartwheels all the down the sidewalk. lol
DeleteI heard from a friend that the weather in Texas was awful. So hot and humid. And still far too dry.
ReplyDeleteI hope it will be better soon.

DeleteYES! I feel the same way about Monday. It does not bother me at all when I am off for summer (now)...I start back next week though. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

DeleteI enjoyed your answers. Sounds like we all had similar answers to #2. Oh, we have friends in Texas and they have talked of the heat. No thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe had a rainy Monday yesterday. We've had rain several times a week lately but we're told we're still in a draught. Plus, with the ridiculous heat lately, the humidity makes it even worse. Last week it was 119F "feels like" temperature one day. Today was awful. My idea temperature would be much like yours with nights in the 50's or 60's with NO humidty. That's what comes of living for 30+ years in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
We could do with a rainy Monday or any other days of the week!!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I find temperatures in the 70's even low 80's comfortable. Unfortunately August is more apt to be warmer than that.
Keep cool if you can. Granny M
