Monday Coffee Talk

This graphic made me smile, the words are so true.  Each morning, give me Jesus and a cup of coffee

I follow a COPD group on Facebook, it gives me so much insight to what others with this illness are experiencing and how they deal with the day-to-day struggles.  There were several people telling about how much Oil of Peppermint and Mullein Tea help them.  No, it's not a cure, but a helper to our bodies to cleanse our lungs.
I started taking both of these about 2 weeks ago, and I feel it's helped.  I'm not feeling as tight in my chest as before.  I'll finish up these bottles and decide then if it's worth continuing.

The snow left and the rains came!  Rain in the forecast for everyday this week.

Tammy came for a visit Saturday; it was so good to see her.  It's been over 2 weeks since I saw her sweet face.  Her and Bo went on a weeklong cruise and came home to snow and ice.  She was finally able to venture out and visit Maegan and Me!
Her visits are so enjoyable

On This Day in History:
A very important day to acknowledge.

Vietnam War - Cease-fire

January 27, 1973

The U.S., North and South Vietnam, and the National Liberation Front sign peace accords, ending the longest war in U.S. history.

I may have mentioned in previous post, my brother served several tours of duty in Vietnam.  He witnessed terrible things and my heart hurts for him.  Thankfully he came home without bodily injury.

Grands:
Hazel and Henry, with their parents and grandparents were also on the cruise with Tammy and Bo.

Experiencing The Heart of Jesus
by Max Lucado

Here are my hi-lites from this week.

  • God wants you to look forward instead of looking back.
  • God won't be finished with you until Jesus comes again.
  • God has a one-of-a-kind name for you that only He knows.
  • God urges you to run the race and finish the journey.

When we make mistakes, He does not banish us to a spiritual junkyard.  No, He salvages our mistakes because He cares for us.

We weren't able to GLOW this past Saturday as planned.  Too much happening in the lives of our ladies, one had to work, one was ill, and other various reasons.
So, we've rescheduled for next week.

A fun GLOW memory from a few years back.  We were on a daytrip to see the bluebonnets and found this little park.  We enjoyed resting there before getting back on road.  That's me on the right, looks like I'm scrolling my phone.  I really don't do that a lot; I must have been searching for something special.  We left there and went to the Blue Bell Creamery for a tour.  It was a fun day.

Blessings to All
Until Next Time

  3. Those babies are so joy-full! I don't know if it's the cold weather, but my Tom's COPD has been worsening; more often than not he's using the oxygen and rescue inhaler. There may be more than one FB group, but could you please send me a PM which COPD support you follow? P+TY 💛

  4. I'm glad you found some products that can help alleviate the symptoms of COPD. You always seem so content that I forget that you're coping with a serious condition. I hope you have a wonderful week💖💖💖
