Hello February!
The best way to start the month of love is with a scripture that tells us how much God love us♥
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Our God is a God of L♥VE.
Coffee in a teacup, I think it makes the coffee taste better. Just a thought!
Tammy and Bo came Friday, we always enjoy their visits♥ Peggy came by Saturday morning while I was getting ready for GLOW. She sat on the edge of the tub while I put on my makeup and we had a fun visit together.♥
One of the GLOW ladies travels several towns north to a small farm to get fresh eggs. While there she noticed the lady of the farm makes homemade lotions and creams. She had two scents to choose from, lavender and geranium, my friend bought several jars of each scent and presented one to each of us while at GLOW. The scents are not the usual sweet smell, instead they had an earthy scent. I've never had anything with a geranium scent, so that's the one I chose.
I've used it on the top of my hands several times (that's where I need it most), It leaves a very faint scent and the cream rubs in nicely. I hope it improves my hands.
I haven't worked in my journal for a while, and decided it was time to get busy with some new pages. It's fun and relaxing, keeps me in God's Word.
On This Day In History:
On this day in 1959, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and J. P. Richardson all perished in a catastrophic plane crash. Later becoming known as The Day The Music Died.
A very sad day indeed.
Our weather was nice enough yesterday afternoon that we were able to sit on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee. It was a beautiful day to be outside.
February Trivia:
February is the only month of the year that can go without having a full moon.
The length of February was finalized by Julius Caesar.
At one point, February had only 23 days.
I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.
Love lifted me!
Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help,
Love lifted me!
All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I’ll cling,
In His blessed presence live, ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul’s best songs,
Faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs.
Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves;
He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.
Blessings to All
Until Next Time
Hi Mary....I enjoyed stopping by your blog today...Glad to find another Texas blogger. I love this state!! I agree...tea always taste better in a pretty tea cup. We have been Blessed...the gentleman who mows our yard, brings me fresh country eggs every week..no charge! Hope you will stop by and visit. Have a Blessed afternoon..loving this sunshine.
ReplyDeleteHi Shug, thanks for the visit, hope you'll come again soon. We had another beautiful afternoon, 82* on the porch with a slight breeze coming off the bay.
DeleteI love "Love Lifted Me". Great old hymn!! That geranium scented cream sounds interesting. Not sure it would be a scent that would be all that nice, but perhaps it smells better in a lotion! LOL. I'm glad you like it! I would definitely have picked the Lavender, my favorite scent. I'm so glad you were able to go to your GLOW meeting! I remember you saying it was going to be a special anniversary one, and at one time you weren't sure you would be able to go. I'm SO glad God made a way! I love your Bible /prayer journaling pages. You are very creative! And why not use a tea cup for coffee? I don't think the tea will mind, and neither will the coffee! It's just fun to use a pretty teacup and feel a little extra special, isn't it? I love to do that now and then, but it seems like I use my old faithful mugs most of the time, unless I want to dress it up and take some pictures to show you all. February is a good month to do that, so maybe I'll be thinking about that. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteHope you still doing well. Have a blessed and beautiful week!
Thank you dear friend, hope you also have a blessed and beautiful week. GLOW was great Saturday, I really had a good ♥♥♥
DeleteHow generous of your friend to bring lotions for all. I like the scent of lavender but I think I would have chosen geranium too, just to see how it smelled.
ReplyDeleteI must get out my Buddy Holly CD and play it in remembrance of him. I sure loved his music when I was a teenager💖💖💖💖💖
I like lavender too, but geranium was different and thought I would give it a try. Hope your week is happy and blessed♥
DeleteWhat a sweet gesture, your friend sharing that farm's lotions. Who knew geranium wouldn't be terribly sweet!? Like you, the backs of my hands desperately need moisturizing, but I usually forget.
ReplyDeleteI've but 3 pretty tea cups that belonged to my own 'farm Grandma' so I'm going to enjoy tomorrow morning's coffee in one, "just because."
Love lifted me!
You go girl, we need to enjoy our teacups every once in a while!! Love lifted me too!! Ain't God good?!
DeleteI like your journal! I remember when that plane crash happened, it was very sad.
ReplyDeleteI remember it too, so long ago and yet I still love the music of all three.
DeleteThat hymn is one we sing often at church. We still sing all the old ones!
ReplyDeleteGreat verse - it says it all.
I love your journal and I think I'll start one like it!!!
I love to journal, some pages turn out really well, and I have some that are so-so. It's okay though because it gives me pleasure and it keeps me in the Word. Hope you have a great week ahead.
DeleteLove lifted me.... I love that song!! And John 3:16 is definitely all about the greatest love of all!! Mary, I wish you a blessed week ahead! Enjoy your porch!!
ReplyDeleteAnother nice day here and we were on the porch this afternoon. Hope your week ahead is happy and blessed☺♥
DeleteYour journal - I looked at that a long time. The colors, the different fonts, the little graphics, that is just beautiful. And the scripture is good for the soul! How is the creme working on your hands? This time of year mine get so dry, I go through a lot of hand lotion! Love Lifted Me - absolutely! Have a great week Mary!
ReplyDeleteIt's a little soon to know if this cream is going to help, it does leave my hands feeling soft. Hope you have a great week too.
DeleteLove lifted me! Love lifted me. When nothing else would help. Love, lifted, me! One of my favorite hymns. Thank you! I just sang it to my husband. :-) It sounds like your GLOW gathering was wonderful. The lady who shared lotions with you was very generous. I haven't smelled a geranium scent in awhile, I used to have them planted in my garden and I loved to seem them. Happy, happy flowers.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day was a wonderful one.
Blessings and love,
Betsy
