Wednesday Wisdom

From my study, The Attributes of God.

Sharing it all would be too much for one post, but maybe a few highlights will stir your heart, spark reflection, and deepen your praise for our Savior.”

Session Two – Knowing God

Scripture Reading: Philippians 3:7-10

Points to Ponder:

We want to truly, deeply, and intimately know Him, because knowing God and glorifying Him is what we were created for.

Knowing God takes relationship that is built little by little over time. In Philippians 3, Paul speaks about knowing Christ. He says that he counts everything as loss compared to knowing Christ.

As we know God more, our greatest desire becomes to live with our lives as an offering, to give ourselves up to God so that He can do His will with us.

Knowing God gives fuel to our faith and propels us into action.

Knowing God means that we have a place to run when life does not make sense.

Nothing in this life is more important than knowing and being known by God.

1 Corinthians 8:3

But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him.

Blessings to All

Until Next Time

  1. I enjoyed reading your post and I agree digging into God's Word and wanting to know Him better each and every day enriches our life in ways that are unexplainable. I pray each day for wisdom and discernment, that I would make wise choices through my day and not waste my time and spend time in His Word each and every day. Along with reading His Word I think putting on Christian music is a wonderful thing to do, especially when we're having problems with our mind and thoughts, music can take us back to a sweet worship with our Savior.
God bless you and thank you for your encouraging words.
