Monday Coffee Talk: Coffee with Jesus
This morning I’m on the porch with my coffee, and I can almost feel Jesus settling into the chair beside me — not with fanfare, but with that quiet companionship that steadies the whole porch. He doesn’t rush the moment. He simply looks at me with those kind eyes, as if to ask, “How’s your heart this morning?” The birds are tuning up their little choir,
the breeze brushes past like a soft blessing, and in that shared stillness I feel His invitation settle over me: “Come to Me, all who are weary…” It wraps around my spirit like a light blanket. And as I sip my coffee, I sense His quiet reminder that I’m not stepping into this week alone — He’s already in every place I’m going.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Did you know that the very first coffee shops in the 1600s were called “penny universities” because, for the price of a penny, you could buy a cup of coffee and sit for hours learning from the conversations around you? A sweet reminder that good things happen when people gather with warm mugs and open hearts.
Merica is becoming a little farm girl, with chickens and baby chicks, a few cows, a horse and now rabbits. Maegan and Louie purchased two rabbits, which had a litter of baby rabbits soon after. Merica has been with them every step of the way!
I hope you have a great Monday and week ahead, may Jesus meet you in the small moments, and may
every step you take this week feel a little lighter because you started it with
Him.
Until Next Time
