Well, friends, this Monday post decided to take the scenic route and arrive on Tuesday! I forgot to hit the publish button yesterday, so please pretend it's Monday for just a few minutes.
Monday - November 2, 2026
Welcome, November. I've been looking forward to seeing you.
I have always loved this time of year. To me, the next few months are the sweetest months on the calendar. They are filled with family gatherings, holiday traditions, grateful hearts, and memories waiting to be made.
November starts it all with Thanksgiving, a time to count our blessings and spend precious moments with the people we love. Then comes Christmas with its lights, music, and joyful spirit. Before we know it, we'll be celebrating a brand new year and looking ahead to fresh beginnings. And just around the corner is Valentine's Day, bringing another reminder to share a little love and kindness.
November is also a special month for our family because we have three family birthdays to celebrate. That gives us even more reasons to gather, laugh, enjoy cake, and be thankful for the people who make our lives richer.
Of course, there is one thing I'm still waiting on... cooler weather! Here on the Texas Gulf Coast, autumn sometimes likes to take its sweet time making an appearance. The calendar says November, but Mother Nature hasn't quite gotten the message yet. That's okay. The cooler days will arrive when they're ready, and when they do, I'll be more than happy to welcome them.
Until then, I'll enjoy my morning coffee, watch the changing season unfold one day at a time, and look forward to all the blessings these next few months will bring.
The travelers are home at last. (Tammy and Bo) Tammy sent me this picture when they crossed the state line. They came for a visit the other day and told us about all the sights they enjoyed.
Here it is the first of November, and my yellow hibiscus are still blooming!
They're such a pretty flower.

Time for me to confess: I'm putting up Christmas along with my Thanksgiving decorations. I'll start with just the tree, and then after Thanksgiving I'll bring out the rest of my Christmas pretties.
I used to be completely against decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving. In my mind, Thanksgiving was Thanksgiving and Christmas was Christmas. But last year I changed my tune, gave it a try, and loved it. It made the season feel a little longer and a lot more enjoyable. Since it worked out so well, I'm doing it again this year!
Happy November, everyone! 🍂🍁☕
Until Next Time

I enjoyed this Monday coffee talk (with my tea) on a Tuesday morning! It works just fine. Yesterday was busy and I probably wouldn't have seen it until today anyway! I love this little visit, feel like we're right there together chatting away. Oh, your hibiscus flower is gorgeous! Mine didn't bloom too much this year, but it sure grew taller. maybe with all this rain and cooler temps it might decide to give out a bloom or two. We'll see. Yes, fall in Florida and Texas are a lot alike...we just have to learn to appreciate what we've been given to enjoy, and be thankful we're not already freezing or having snow like some places! Oh, I'm happy your travelers are back home safe and sound. That's always a big relief! I know you were happy to see their smiling faces again. Have a wonderful rest of your week. This was a pleasant start to my day.
