Good bye October!

It's been grand but it's time for you to move on and let the wonderful months of November and December begin.

Wasn't it just a few days ago that I was complaining about the perilous drought and heat happening around me.  Now here I am, enjoying this day with temps in the 40's and already looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I hope to enjoy everyday because I know in the blink of an eye it will be January and we'll be welcoming the New Year.

I just put two pot pies in the oven for our lunch and now sitting at the kitchen table, listening to Christian radio and watching the birds at the feeder just outside my window.  I'm still cozy in my warm pj's and I'm still sipping on my last cup of coffee for the morning.  Life is good

I started my November scriptures today, it's only a day early and I finished October early.  I love writing scriptures each morning, it's a great way to start my. day, it brings so much peace.

This scripture plan is The Family of God, I hope to write two or three scriptures per day so I can do another November plan about giving thanks.

It's been about six weeks since my last post, seems I need a break every now and then to regroup and refresh.

 It's good to be back.

Always remember, the God of the mountain is also the God of the valley.

Blessings to all,

Until Next Time

Oh my, Fall has come for a visit and she is so welcome.

This morning when I let the dogbabies out I was greeted with a burst of cool air and it felt so good.  It refreshed my spirit and made me smile.

I usually lay back down after the dogbabies come in, not today!  I went straight to the kitchen and started the coffee to brew, turned on the lamp and opened the kitchen blinds.  It was just getting light, the kitchen was dim with only lamplight, the coffee smelled so good, it was so cozy and so enjoyable.

I think my coffee tasted better this morning.  It's amazing what a cool morning can do.

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

I really don't like this new blogger, I don't think it's as user friendly as the old one.  Just my humble opinion.  {{sigh}}

Friday Foto

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

I'm in a rush so I've used an old photo for my
Friday Foto!

Goodbye Thanksgiving, Hello Christmas

My last cup of fall coffee before fall is all packed away.

After everything was put away we went to eat at our favorite Mexican Restaurant.  When we walked in we were greeted by this beautiful Christmas Tree.
I could feel the joy of Christmas creeping into my soul!!

I was not surprised when that night Mr D wanted to go for a ride to see if anyone had their Christmas lights up yet!!!  It  is a little early...although many put up their Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving.
So we drove through McDonald's. . . coffee for Mr D and latte for me!

We found some pretty homes all lit up for Christmas.

We had such a good time and I'm looking forward to doing it again....soon!!!

I don't understand how perfectly clear, sharp pictures from my phone become so blurry when I transfer them to my computer.  I must be missing a step or two!!

Happy Fall Y'all

I've been 'falling' ....

I went to Hobby Lobby to purchase a birthday gift for a GLOW sister...well....I did get her a gift and I got a gift for me too!!  Hobby Lobby does that to me.

Anyway, this is what I got..
it's a round, three tier....thingy.

I had a good time placing my fall decor on each tier. I mingled little lights all over the place which really makes it pretty at night.

Come said the wind to the leaves one day...

Pea Bug loves being among all the fall colors.  He fits right it, don't you think?

Come o'er the meadows and we will play...

Put on your coats of scarlet and gold...

For autumn is here and days grow cold.

That's sweet Ollie Owl on the right!!  Deb at Breathing in Grace made him, isn't he cute?!!

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
 Lauren DeStefano

I saw an owl.
He sat in a tree.
He opened one eye.
He winked at me.

I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze,
the sweet chill of pumpkin and crisp sun burnt leaves.

Ode to a Pumpkin
I think that I shall never see,
A pumpkin so big as a tree.
A gourd that I could gut and carve
Providing food so I'd never starve.
A pumpkin so big it would be
The scariest Jack-O-Lantern all would see.
Or, I could live in it every day
Until it all would rot away.
Oh, it would be so grand to own
The biggest pumpkin ever grown.
But, it would cost to much I fret
So, I must buy what I can get.

Pretty autumn angels
Dancing all around
Frolicking through fields
Jumping up and down!

Pretty autumn angels
May I come and play
We'll have so much fun
Playing all the day!
