I've been so lazy this week.
I think I need some sunshine, something we haven't had in a while.
It's Friday again and time for Friday Foto Friends . . .

Thankful Thursday on Friday!
I am so thankful for the 'enlarge' button on my printer. Sure does help with my cross stitch patterns!!
Oh my, this is soooo good! I am very thankful to my granddaughter's father-in-law who puts up the best preserves ever.....and shares them with us!! Strawberry Fig Preserves on hot biscuits!!
This is the backside of the flowers Mr D gave me for Valentine's Day. I am so thankful they are still pretty, I love looking at them.
Sure thankful for Bitsy Baby and Buddy Boy, such loving little dogs. I was never a fan of chihauhau's, but since they came to live with us I've changed my mind!!

I'm thankful for the people who have such encouraging facebook pages for us to enjoy. I have a list and I visit them almost every day.

I'm thankful to hear Mr D's weedeater going strong this afternoon. He's cleaning all around the back porch, pulling weeds and clearing away the plants that didn't survive the winter. It's almost time for some porch-sittin' and coffee sippin'! Thank you Mr D!!
I'm also linking with Rebecca Jo @ Knit By God's Hand for. . .

Until Next Time
Looks like you are keeping cosy indoors. Your home looks so inviting as do your scones and preserves. The flowers still look so lovely. Like you I never was a fan of chihuahuas but then I've never owned any and yours look so cute.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the most beautiful pictures on your blog. Those biscuits look divine. Like they could just jump off the page and onto my plate. Have a blessed Friday.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Mary! Good to see you back to blogging. :)
ReplyDeleteNice crossstitch!
SO good to see a post up from you today, Mary! We are in for several days of rain so a bit of sunshine will be welcome here, too! Your biscuits look amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish it was almost time for porch sitting here, smiles. Have a beautiful day friend.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just the time of year when us gals feel the urge to purge. ๐ I've already started doing some porch sitting, too... our happy place! One of these days I'm in hopes that we can sit together and eat biscuits and jelly! ๐
ReplyDeleteDeb, that will be a happy, happy day! ((hugs))
DeleteI just told someone I wanted to cross stitch again but I'm afraid of the small print - so good thinkin on enlarging it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Sun will shine again, and soon I hope and this afternoon it's to be 79 degrees and tomorrow 80 degrees. You know I am a fan of Chihuahua since I have one.Bitsy and Buddy are so cute. Hope your day is filled with "sunny" smiles.
ReplyDeleteAll the photos are lovely but the one that caught my attention - hot biscuits with strawberry fig jam. I've never had that combo before but I am now fantasizing about. Yum!
ReplyDeleteThat was all very delightful. Loved the biscuits and jam...I'll bet it was good. The doggies are sweet, and I know you are happy Mr. D. is getting the porch area ready for some porch sitting. The flowers are still so lovely! Wow! And that cross stitch...you amaze me. I could never get the hang of it. I blame it on being a lefty. That's my excuse for most anything I can't do. LOL> Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThe fresh biscuits and jam look delightful.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are still looking lovely after a week and a half!! That's pretty good.
Mr.D. is using the weedeater for the proper purpose. Outside my DH is using ours to clear some of the snow off the walkway and to my amazement it works!!
Oh oh! I was mistaken. It's not a weedeater he's using. He rigged up a sort of snowblower. Creative man.
DeleteI enjoyed your photos AND your thankful link-up too!! Double duty! Your pups are precious!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary your header photo might be a different width than your previous one. Try going into blogger "Theme Settings". When you get to that page select "Adjust Widths" and play around with the width slider a little to get the photo centered. It may mean you also have to rearrange some of your widgets but that is easy enough. Alternatively you can make your photo wider or narrower if you have a photo program to do it in and experiment with a few widths until you get it right. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I finally got it fixed!!
DeleteBitsy and Buddy are just too cute for words. I miss having dogs around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bouquet you got for Valentines day.
Those biscuits made me so hungry.
Hi Mary, your cross stitch is so pretty and I can almost taste that strawberry fig preserve on the hot biscuit. Yummy! Beautiful flowers and cute pups. Have a blessed evening my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove your puppies. So very adorable.
ReplyDeleteThat biscuit sure looks good! Cute little dogs, we have Max, a shih Tzu and he is our world. Glad your guy can get out and do stuff in the yard. I cant wait. Hugs, lj
