Hope – is it just a feeling, or a wish, or a nice idea that optimists talk about? Hope comes from God, the Holy Spirit keeps it alive in us!
Hope is a Biblical principle and a strong spiritual force.
Hope is a Biblical principle and a strong spiritual force.
Biblical hope is an application of our faith that supplies a confident expectation in God's fulfillment of His promises.
Having hope propels us to achieve our dreams and drives us forward toward our pursuits. It also keeps us afloat when everything seems to go wrong, when we feel that we're drowning. Hope is the light at the end of the tunnel, the northern star by which we navigate our lives through trials and difficulties towards our dreams of a better day. When we lose hope, we are like a rudderless ship being tossed about without direction. Having and finding hope, then, is essential for keeping our dreams upright and continuing to sail in the direction of their attainment.
This was on facebook and I really liked it. A great graphic and a great message.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Yes, thats a great photo. We have a Green ASh tree that we chopped down. Well, the stump began to grow and the section we chopped off also began to sprout! Now we don't have the heart to get rid of it as it wanted to live so much. This summer it is a lovely little shade tree, with a weird trunk :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary...and oh, you have the prettiest tea cups and saucers, smiles.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo and illustrates exactly the message you gave to us!! Thank you!

I need it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an encouraging word this morning, Mary.
ReplyDeleteAmen! This is a very encouraging post today. I love that tree coming out of the dead stump. New life out of the dead...that is what I wrote about today! Must be the theme that God has chosen this week. This gives us great hope.
