It is pouring rain in my little neighborhood. We might get some street flooding before it stops, seems we either get too much rain or not enough. {{sigh}} I just pray no homes get rising water, that happens a lot here too.
Believe it or not, we had to call an ambulance again yesterday afternoon. What is going on with my family? My son was doubled over in pain, he was pale and sweaty, so off to the hospital he went. He has 2 kidney stones, ouch. The doctor told him the pain was equivilant to childbirth. ouch again! He stayed much of the night and they released him. He came home with pain meds, now it's a waiting game. He seems good this morning.
I've been looking at photos from Christmas' past. So many great memories.
The Grands, 2000.
Maegan, the oldest, is now married with three little girls.
Matt, standing next to Maegan, is now married with one little girl.

The other four boys, Blake, Travis, Jason and Cody are bachelors!!
Until Next Time
Merry Christmas
Love the pictures Mary! Corrie Ten Boom is buried near my parents and grandparents. I usually go see her grave when I visit my parents. Hope your son feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, your poor son! We have a lot of experience with kidney stones here as my husband is prone to them. In fact, he just had one at Thanksgiving. They are indeed painful, but having had one and had two children...I pronounce the kidney stones worse! And I'm told it's much worse for men.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry for your son, and I pray the stones will pass without having to have surgery. I know how painful they are. I had one when I was 7 months pregnant, and the Dr. and I both thought I was in labor. Then after a night of pain in the hospital with no water to drink because they thought I was in labor, I asked for water in the morning and when I went to the bathroom I passed the stone. The dr. said it was a good thing or he would have had to do surgery and maybe take the baby early. Baby was fine, but he did end up coming a month early! I loved your pictures of the kids and how they enjoyed Christmas growing up...you are blessed to have so many and now great grands. What a treasure! Sending you (((hugs))) this Christmas. Things will get better soon.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed this post with your precious memories and wonderful pictures!! This year is different for nearly everyone but we can sure look forward, with hope, to next year bringing us back to cookie days and family celebrations!! God is always good!
ReplyDeleteWhat a scare about your son! I've never had stones, nor knew anyone who did, but that sounds mighty frightening.
ReplyDeleteSuch precious photos you've chosen! I've been going through old albums myself ... there's nothing like seeing loved ones as children to make me realize I'm not a 'spring chicken' anymore. Thankful, too, for the privilege to watch them grow.
I hope your poor son feels better soon. I don't know if kidney stones pass by themselves or have to be removed. Thankfully we've not had any.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of you on Cookie Day in 1999. And the picture of your grands back the. How things change.
Oh my! I've heard that passing a kidney stone is some of the worst pain there is! I hope the pain med gives some relief. Love your photos! Cookie Day looks amazing! I didn't bake any this year. I hope you and your family have a blessed Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Mary!
